Yeah, l can imagine a family of five huddled around a mobile phone, or laptop to watch a programme.
I hope no one has the nits, or eats loudly!
You silly billy Art. They’ll all have their own devices and be in their own rooms watching them and listening through their pods. Honestly, what are you like??
Apple, l presume?
Hang on! That’s five devices all using electricity in approx four bedrooms that all need to be warm and have light!
Of course. Standards need to be maintained.
Or BOSE, if needs be.
I don’t have my heating on all the time in cold weather, it seems wasteful to me. I grew up in a house with just a fire in the kitchen and icy cold bedrooms so central heating is a luxury.
I wear thermal legging (my medication decreases circulation so my legs feel cold), layers of clothing cotton underneath wool on top and a woolly travel blanket over me when I sit down in the evenings.
One real benefit has been the thermal linings I made for my curtains to keep the heat out in the summer, they also keep the heat in during the winter.
Well yes, I have watched a few westerns, but haven’t seen any of them fiddling around with their trapdoor!
Strange how those clips never reach the final edit.
This is a good reason to get off my backside and start swimming again then I can use the gyms showers .
I really need to get motivated
Agreed LQ. Its all just a bit of a faff though.
Meg, Promise, you won’t laugh…
I found some odd balls of wool in the cupboard and l knitted oddly sized pieces and sewed them together! It didn’t turn out as pretty as l expected but it serves its purpose to keep my lower legs and feet warm.
Remember… no one laughs or l’ll cry!! Brace yourselves…
Well, may be not the greatest support for Ukraine flag, but at least your heart was in the right place.
It was knitted before the war!!
A quick question: if people sewed themselves into their underwear in the cold olden days, how did they …erm… perform their ‘essential activities’? Or was this before the invention of bloomers/knickerbockers/ drawers or whatever they were called then?
Blimey, I thought my questions were bad
sits with popcorn, waiting for an answer
Pass me some PK
Pixie and Bathsheba, There’s more than one way to skin a rabbit!!
Is there? Yuk!
Which War?! - it looks very “vintage”!
If you could knit another one, exactly the same, you could sew them together and make a strapless, flared mini-dress!
Of course sew did not quite mean the same as peasant did not have needles or buttons for that matter, they used twine through holes in the cloth to fasten their clothes together.
