I think this qualifies…

These are cherry toms size.
We don’t do tinned toms, or try not to … they’re processed, lots of salt, sugar and stuff.
Poor driver. I do hope it wasn’t you.
Unfortunately It was me Dachs, bad visibility, wet road and bad judgement…
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Hope you didn’t get injured. I’m not sure if the white thing under your windscreen is an airbag?
Nice car, BTW. Now this looks to me as if it’s a total write-off?
As per topic, my previous car has also seen better days. (I’ve posted this in another thread)
Thanks Dachs, nobody hurt just shaken. The white thing turned out to be a sort of blind that came down over the window to stop broken glass from flying into the drivers face from the side impact. I didn’t realise they had such things…The main airbags didn’t operate.
Yes, based on the description and photos I sent to the insurance company they said it was most likely a write off due to it’s age and mileage. 13 years old with 114338 miles on the clock…
Was your car a write off Dachs?
I didn’t know that either.
No, my car was close to an economic total loss in which case insurance companies usually try to convince you not to have the car repaired knowing quite well that you wouldn’t get a comparable car for their compensation. As in a previous case (this was the last out of four accidents), I decided to have the car repaired completely so that I wouldn’t have to pay a penny out of my own pocket. My car was three y.o. and had 30k miles on the clock. I drove it for another seven years without any problems in contrast to the other car which they couldn’t repair properly and I drove it for three more years with the tailgate rattling and the car making creaking noises after a frame straightening machine had been used. I hate that.
Interesting that the company said it was “most likely” a write-off. Didn’t they want to know exactly? In my case an expert inspection was carried out. He took his own photos and sent his expertise to the insurer.
Just about right for me Ripple…
This one has definitely seen better days.
I used to eat them like that till I heard that greener & firmer are better for you, tastier too.
Hi Mart, I was intrigued to see that PL-259 amongst the many screws and bits.
And unsoldered it would appear.
A project that never came to fruition ??
.
That cigar butt has certainly seen better days!
Nice one!
Your welcome, glad I don’t smoke
So that’s what it is.
It is something from many back. Perhaps even from my apprentice days when I used to build a few things. I can’t think why I have it but I must have thought it was needed for something or other …and then didn’t.
