It shows how tobacco became more affordable over the course of time. You can see the broken stem at the bottom embellished with a pike, probably an anglerâs themed pipe.

Coincidentally, I heard someone on TV talking about the Lost Rivers of London last night.
I was unaware until now that there was all these rivers which had been diverted underground so many years ago to enable the land to be built on.
I saw it mentioned on a programme about the history of Buckingham Palace - that it was built on top of the River Tyburn.
