I imagine that would get a few views on YouTube? ![]()
A tutorial perhaps…
Many of us have heard of, and used things like Google translate. Imagine the joy of having the technology which would be able to recognise and translate languages in real time, right into your ear. Being able to communicate with ease with anyone, anywhere on the planet. Add contact lenses which could translate any text from any language so you can read it immediately as though it was in your mother tongue (or even have it read to you through an earpiece).
I’m uneasy with that Dex!
All too easy, convenient, it’s as if real life experience is negated, or at least put on the back burner. When I see people strolling along in the street with their glazed eyes staring down at their phones, not to mention the headphones firmly clamped around their ears!
Just a thought…
I read this morning that there is more regulation governing the design and manufacture of your fridge than there is over AI. That does not seem to be aligned with the potential risks from the two things.
Ah, but it wouldn’t be mandatory to use it. Also, you wouldn’t need a phone by then, if info is fed to you audibly and visually via earpieces and contact lenses. Both could have safety features inbuilt, a bit like apps not being functional while you’re actually driving a car.
No crossing the road being fixated by a phone screen, since the technology wouldn’t operate unless you’re in a safe environment.
As said, it’s not mandatory to use such tech, but by golly it’d be fantastic if it was available.
The Day of the Freezer, when humans are blinded by fridge lights and white goods take over the world by eating people. Scary
That’s the wrong way round, the threat from the killer fridges has been negated by the careful regulation. You can’t be too careful when it comes to tech.
I can hardly wait! ![]()
Another mouth to feed, most folks can’t afford the leccy bill at the moment, let alone charging a Robot!!
Uncanny Chilli, I’ve just repaired a ‘Hetty’ for my daughter.
I’m going to be serious for once Foxy - seriously reliable pieces of kit!
Unlike overpriced Dyson products in my experience.
No computer driven motors and very easy to fix Chilli, I could keep these going for ever…And great for the environment never needing to be replaced. And don’t they suck!
They suck like crazy!
I remember the engineers used them in the larger Royal Mail sorting offices.
Fellas, I don’t feel that you’re really getting in the spirit of this thread. ![]()

Just think…There could be a member of the forum who is Ai and an imposter…

Haha, don’t look at me! An AI would probably give much better advice than I do and wouldn’t spill coffee on its keyboard every other morning! ![]()
That’s exactly what an AI device would write. ![]()
Perhaps an Ai member would appear quite normal so as not to blow it’s cover?
Doth the lady protest too much, methinks ![]()
