Haha, oh man! Imagine hearing ‘System update required. Please restart.’ right in the middle of it!
Pure romance right there!
Back in 1973 there was a certain film that touched upon that topic, visions of the future

A dire warning indeed! ![]()
Spot on! We were warned half a century ago and we still built them anyway!
As long as my Roomba doesn’t start giving me the Gunslinger glare, I guess we’re safe for now! ![]()
Showing my ignorance but I’ve just had to Google Roomba ![]()
I’m sure you’ll be safe with Roomba - for the time being! ![]()

Haha!
‘For the time being’ is the key phrase there! Though honestly, mine gets trapped by the living room rug so often, I think civilization is safe from it for a while! ![]()

Lol!
You can’t trust anyone who smiles that much while doing housework! Still, I’d take Henry’s questionable smile over an AI robot any day!
Haha, love the wordplay!
Even if the sound of it is something quite atrocious!
Perfectly sums up modern tech!
Providing you don’t also post this in the “flirting” thread, then that’s fine ![]()

Absolutely not! ![]()

I shall just leave these two to their own devices!
Haha, looks like Hetty and Henry are having a whole romance in the utility closet!
As long as they don’t start multiplying, I think your floor is in good hands! ![]()
It’s amazing what occurs in utility closets - or so I’ve heard! ![]()
Hi @Emma40 and welcome! ![]()
I don’t feel too good about AI smart robots taking over our daily lives, this revolution is nothing like the Industrial one! The rate of change is much too fast, we don’t even have the time to get used to one innovation before another one is “forced” upon us and the worst part - trying to replace Human Intelligence?
Oh dear, how did society come to this? Isn’t there a limit to everything? ![]()
At this rate, future young children won’t even know how to count from 1 to 10 or even spell their name!
Maybe, in the future, they won’t need to?
Whilst I can see robots replacing tasks done by humans, there will be some things that will be quite hard to be done by artificial intelligence/machines, working in care homes and dealing with those with dementia, how will a robot know if that person is aggressive?, or has specific rituals ect, I’m not saying it will never happen, but I think it’s into the distant future…
What goes on in utility closets stays in utility closets.

Ah, but maybe by that time AI will have helped find the cures and preventative measures for such things.
I foresee the day when, instead of seeing a doctor, you’ll be able to scan yourself and AI will be able to diagnose and offer treatment methods for the vast majority of human ailments, there and then without having to wait for hours/days/weeks/months for an available slot.
Added yo my previous post of
Just imagine trying to have night time nuptials in bed with a robot !!
command it " NOW VIBRATE"
That’s open to multiple interpretations ![]()
