Am currently reading a book which has a curious concept in it. The husband of the main character was killed, so she uses an app which has “read” every known fact and detail available about him and generated a facsimile of him that she talks to and who replies to her.

I think it is progress for us and I think the rate is accelerating - apart from those Luddite types. Not just AI but in many other fields we have been advancing.
I think it’s all moving too fast, I’m not sure I even like the way the world is now.

I know one thing, I never switch off any safety systems in my car, when the robot overlords take over, I want them to look favourably on me…

For sure! It’s wild how fast things are moving right now. 
It feels like we’re literally living in the future. I kind of get why some people get freaked out by it, but honestly, you just gotta buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Totally get where you’re coming from, Rox. The sheer pace of change is dizzying. I catch myself wishing things would just slow down a notch so we can actually enjoy the simple stuff without a screen involved.

I think most of us are in that exact same boat! One day it’s amazing, the next day you’re wondering if it’s taking over the world.

The story doesn’t revolve around the AI concept, but it was an interesting idea. 
Awesome, thanks for the title! Harlan Coben is always a fun read anyway, so adding a little AI twist to the mix sounds great. Adding it to my reading list!
