Hammer's odds 'n' ends

Yep, I’m a Hans Zimmer fan too. Lisa Gerrard has the voice of an angel. This is a movie I can watch again and again.

A bit of ‘ead bangin’ to get ready for the weekend.
Status Quo jumping about and enjoying themselves.
Not sure how the kilts got in there though.

Burning Bridges

Enjoyed that track, Lisa Gerrard has a lovely voice, don’t think the film is my cup of tea though

Hi John,
you might also like some of the work that Harry Gregson-Williams has done. This is from the soundtrack of the 2004 film ‘Man on fire’, again featuring Lisa Gerrard.

The End Music

I enjoyed that one as well, thanks

Again Lisa Gerrard but this time with Patrick Cassidy, the track is taken from their 2004 album: Immortal Memory

I Asked For Love

Enjoyed listening to that one George, probably enjoyed the other one more though  Thanks

The End Music

Thanks for that Hammer, makes me want to go and check out the movie.

This is a piece from the soundtrack of the 2004 film: Layer Cake.
There are a few words at the beginning from one of the stars of the film, Michael Gambon, wherein he swears a bit so don’t listen if you are offended but Lisa Gerrard’s performance thereafter makes it worthwhile to hear it all.

Aria

Enjoyed that George

Time for a little peaceful reflection.

Gustav Mahler’s fifth Symphony, Fourth Movement.

Adagietto

Lovely, thank you.

I think this is one of the best songs Adele has recorded, at least thus far.
A single released in 2010 but essentially from the 2011 Album: 21.

Rolling In The Deep

Really like that Adele song, its one of my favourites of hers, thanks.

A gentle one for a rather fraught Friday, this is by Yusuf, or the formerly known, Cat Stevens.
From the surprisingly rather good 2009 album: Roadsinger.

Be What You Must

Always liked Cat Stevens, and Adele is so good.

This is from the original 2004 score of the film King Arthur, the music is again provided by the peerless Hans Zimmer.

The superb vocals are provided by Moya Brennan who co-wrote the song. Some folks might remember her as being the lead singer from Clannad and she is also sister to Enya.

I bought the soundtrack CD a long time ago and think it goes very well with the film.

Tell Me Now

Very nice, like Cat Stevens, saw him in concert once.

Just beautiful, thanks

Hi Marian, glad you liked.
Here is another from Moya when she was with Clannad.
This is from the film The Last of the Mohicans.

I will find you
