A beautiful City Furry, and so much to see.
We usually go each Christmas for the lights and atmosphere, and Christmas dinners.
It’s about an hours drive from here so we just go for the day.
I used to visit Trent Bridge every year when I ran the marathons. It was my favourite, and I ran it eight times. Surprisingly, it never rained on any of them.
This was my first…You can see how much I enjoyed it…

Yes it wasn’t great. I was in Cote having breakfast and we were inundated with cricket fans all looking disappointed.
Oh, I am so sorry. Is there a plan B for the day?
I wasn’t going to the cricket, I just live near it. My days plans were fine, indoors with breakfast being cooked for us

Tomorrow is a reserve day.The forecast is even worse.
I will be getting the train home late morning.
Spent over three hundred quid and missed my rugby team winning to watch
rain fall.
This is going to be the first domestic one day final to have no play.
Still,Premier Inn breakfasts are rather good and I’ve been in a very nice Wetherspoons.
And I will get a full refund on my match ticket…

That helps a little, but I know it is a disappointment. I had no idea what Wetherspoons is, but I do now! It sounds like you made the best of things. Really sorry about the rainout.
