Yes no problem, I am good with heights and love it when the boat rocks backward and forward… reminds me of being on a fairground ride, I’m up for anything new
Catsey Van too small in the North Atlantic this time of year Mags darlin’ - would get swamped in no time in a storm, which is why I’ve changed it to a larger ocean-going vessel. Wanna come and join the crew???
No, no, no Annie darlin’ we don’t need a figure-head, - we need proper crew - since John can’t or won’t undertake the task of cook/storekeeper, how about you taking on this task???
Seeing that the cook, rum ration overseer, etc. has not panned out for me, may I humbly apply for the position of Ships Cat. Knowing Eileen’s love of this said animal, I will endeavour to do my best sir. Unless of course somebody wants to send a real cat. So then the costume will have to go back to the hire shop.
I don’t know the lady because I’m a relative new comer here but it’s obvious she’s a well liked and respected member. I wish her well and hope she’s soon on the mend.
John matey - in 19th Century naval terms the term ‘cat’ did not mean pussy cat, but a rather more prosaic weapon with nine knotted leather thongs on it.
