I was referring to the hospital admission Annie, rather than the ones who died.
I know OGF, I was just pointing out that the admissions in the study were people who had only been given one dose. But the study itself indicates that even one vaccine is working well to greatly reduce hospital admissions. So two should really enable us to get back to normal. I certainly hope so to make it all worthwhile.
Thank you Magsā¦
Well not really Annieā¦Hasnāt lockdown, wearing face coverings in all public places and the approaching summer had any effect? I thought the vaccines prevented hospital admissions and deaths? If the figures for hospital admissions remain low throughout next winter then I will agree with the study, but itās a bit too early to be making wild assumptions from such a small study under the circumstancesā¦
No vaccine is 100% guaranteedā¦
No more to tell you at the moment, Mups. She seems happy enough and hasnāt had any adverse reaction from the vaccination.
Especially when itās not been tested for the recommended period Barryā¦:!:
There are anomalies, My Wife had covid last April, and has this week still tested positive for antibodies. We who were with her in that period last year, and took no precautions showed no antibodies via the same test although we had symptoms at the same time.
Speaking for myself, I have had the two jabs, that has been tough for a sceptic, but, I have MY logical reasons for doing so, not what any talking head is telling me to do.
Thatās how it should be Spittyā¦Glad your missus is okayā¦
Thanks Foxy, many folks have not been close to the epicentre.
I know I keep banging on about the Yellow Card Scheme, but I have just found out they do a weekly report on the latest vaccine news.
If anyone fancies flicking through it, here it is:
Mups I can see that they say itās updated 29th april but I canāt see any new info on the adverse effects of AZ.
Is it true its likely we have to have another vaccine in autumn? Hope not Iām not sure after what happened to me after the last one I could cope with that.
My daughter had her first jab at 8.00 this morning. She was given the Moderna vaccine. It will be interesting to see if she has any reactions in the next few days.
My son had the Moderna vaccine a couple of weeks ago and the only side effect he suffered was a slight feeling of nausea which came on after he had eaten - that lasted about 4/5 days. He is absolutely fine now so hopefully your daughter will be the same Mags.
Dunno Annie, canāt help you there.
Perhaps have a look again after the next update?
Thanks Margaret, thatās the first reaction Iāve heard with Moderna vaccine. Iām pleased it was just a slight feeling of nausea your son had and heās fine now.
Thanks for posting that Mups, very interesting.
I suppose reactions in some are only to be expected on such a massive vaccine rollout. Having the vaccine will certainly be an asset to most people.
Thanks Mups, thatās an interesting read.
Hope your daughter is ok after her vaccination,Mags.
Had my second one today, was told to put my name on the card and carry it with me?..not sure why?..anyone!?
