Glad to hear that you are back to normal Margaret…
Thanks OGF
My sister’s husband had the Janssen vaccination yesterday. They live in Spain.
Never heard of it!
Not French, is it?
Janssen Pharmaceutica is a Belgium-based division of Johnson & Johnson.
Thanks. Belgians are only half-French, so that’s not too bad!
Just got home after receiving my second jab today.
That’s good to hear Galty, I hope you’ll be free from any reaction.
If the pandemic in India is as bad as we are led to believe why were people given seven days to get home. I should have thought a ban on all incoming flights should have been implemented straight away.
I’ll use that tomorrow when we go for our 2nd AZ jabs.
No, they’re only ½ as bad
Hope all is well for you.
So would I but, thinking about it, a day or 2 grace period would allow the airlines to get their planes and staff back to where they should be.
Gland swelling is also one of the symptoms of infection ,I can testify to this along with the loss of taste and smell which I had .
What I’m seeing in some posts is the lack of realisation that even after receiving the jab , you can come down with mild to moderate Covid-19 symptoms assumed to be from the jab !
This is because your immune system hasn’t had time to kick in so to speak .
,
I am aware that gland swelling is a symptom of infection but I didn’t have anything else that suggested that I had an infection so I googled the NHS site to see whether it was a possible side effect of the jab and it said:
"Another possible side effect is swollen glands in the armpit or neck, on the same side as the arm where you had the vaccine.
This can last for around 10 days, but if it lasts longer see your doctor."
This fitted exactly what was happening. This was my second jab so I would have had some immunity from my first one.
My post wasn’t directed at you in particular Margaret. So you only had a swollen gland on the same side as the arm you were jabbed in for 10 days ? Amazing .
One has to wonder what’s in the vaccine to cause that .
Nobody knows, or cares apparently Zuleika…
V and I had our 2nd AZ jabs this morning. Neither of us felt anything. In fact, V had to ask the nurse if she had finished giving her the jab.
Sounds good Percy, I hope all goes well for you both during the next few days…
Thanks Mags.
Happy to say no reaction at all even my arm does not hurt like the first jab did.
That’s good to know, Galty
Had my second ‘oxford’ jab yestermorn - no adverse reactions so far!
That’s good to hear, Tabby!
