Covid-19 Vaccinations

Probably more than that?

Mrs LD had her second jab four days ago and generally feels tired but other than that, no ill effects.

That’s good news LD :023:

Yes, thanks Mags.

The media informing of the deaths and showing the subsequent grief and sorrow is done for effect? Hmm …not so sure about that. Also, I don’t think the people are my friends but I do feel empathy for them.

I’m happy for the people when success stories are shown as well.

What a lovely thing to say.
Thankyou so much, Foxy. :058:

I feel like I know some people on here personally Mups…:grouphug:

Thank you from me too foxy

Unfortunately I’m still not well…the doctor has said its likely I have labyrinthitus and it will go away eventually but its horrible just sat up in bed here now is uncomfortable and I’ve had to take anti nausea medication…terrible ringing in my ears too this all happened just hours after the vaccination…doing some research myself I’ve discovered lots of people with my exact symptoms not just with the Astra Zeneca but Pfizer and Moderna vaccines too…I’m hoping I have no long term damage…every morning I wake up hoping the room will not be spinning…only time will tell.

I hope everyone else is feeling better and coping OK.

I have been having bouts of labyrinthitus for many years. Sometimes it lasts for 2 or3 weeks sometimes less. My doctor told me to do the the Brandt-Daroff exercise and it has helped me. I have tried the Epley exercise but it was too drastic for me and made me sick. It is not a pleasant feeling.

Had two jabs (Phwyzzer)12 weeks apart, no side effects other than feeling a bit achy 24-48 hours after each one.

I had my 2nd Pfizer yesterday - my group was a week earlier than scheduled, in line with the general emphasis being placed on 2nd vaccinations, currently averaging 350,000 a day as opposed to 100,000 a day for 1st vaccinations.

No noticeable reaction or ill-effects so far, although I fell asleep in the afternoon but that could have been due to fatigue caused by the rare early morning walk to the Civic Centre …

Thanks Summer, I’m sorry to hear that you are still having problems, take good care of yourself and I hope you are feeling better soon…

I know exactly what you mean, having had labyrinthitis myself in the past.

I’m so sorry Summer that you are having such a bad reaction to the jab. I hope you feel better soon.

I’m very much in two minds about having the second jab. Hopefully by June they might say one is enough or perhaps run out of stock.

I’m so glad you told me about the Yellow Card scheme, Mups, because I passed that information onto someone who developed a chronic inner ear infection, causing dizziness, vertigo etc after getting the vaccine. She didn’t like to link the two things, but I mentioned she could report it to the YC site, and she had no idea there was such a thing.

That sounds like an awful illness Summer, I looked it up in the NHS internet. Listen to advice from your doctor & please let us know when you are feeling better. The site suggested that if things don’t improve within 3 weeks you should seek further help from your GP.
Good luck & I hope you feel much better soon!

I feel for you Summer, I really do.
You are telling my own story all over again.
Was this after your first jab?

Did they give you ’ Prochlorperazine’ by any chance?
That’s what they gave me for the sick/dizzy thing.

How long has this been with you for?
I hope you have used the Yellow Card Scheme to report it!
I did.

Best wishes to you Summer, and I really hope you begin to feel a little better soon. x

Glad you passed that link on Pixie. :023:

Doctors and pharmacies should plaster it everwhere to inform people. It’s almost like they don’t want us to know!

I have just put the link on my reply to Summer, who is also still suffering.

It’s not only for vaccine reactions, it is for any/all medication too.

I vote that the Link of the Year … :023:

I’d never heard of it but now that I have I’ll pass it on … :!:

Many thanks …
