I have now realised where I miscalculated. I was counting the ‘S’ for Sunday in two of the months as a number!
Hence, how l ended up with 12 weeks and not 10.

At least you now know you haven’t been overlooked, Art

I feel sure you will hear something later this week or next.

Mags, You should be a clairvoyant with a crystal ball, in a tent at Blackpool!
I got a text tonight, inviting me to attend the venue l went to for my first vaccination, on Sunday!
Now all booked!

PS. Can l just wish your daughter well. So much can be done these days.

What a coincidence! I’m pleased you have received your invite Art, I hope it goes well for you.

Thank you for wishing my daughter well Art, much appreciated.

In a further blow to his faltering vaccination strategy Australian Prime Minister, Scotty from Marketing, held an urgent press conference this evening

Australian health authorities have advised the Pfizer vaccine should be given to Australians aged under 50, amid concerns of rare blood clots potentially linked to the AstraZeneca vaccination.

The Federal Government’s expert medical taskforce met on Wednesday to consider use of the AstraZeneca vaccine, following advice from the European Union’s medical regulator that “very rare cases of blood clots” were a side-effect in the weeks after the vaccine was administered.

According to this evenings news there is a 25% mortality rate among people who have these blood clots caused by the AZ vaccine. I think it said there had been 19 deaths in the UK from this clotting.

People who have safely received their first dose of AstraZeneca are advised it is safe to have their second.

There are currently no cases of community transmission of Covid in Australia

Australia has secured another 20 million doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine as the federal government overhauls its COVID-19 vaccination plans.

The Pfizer jab is now the preferred jab for Australians under the age of 50, after health advice warned of a potential link between rare blood clots and the AstraZeneca vaccine.

It followed reports of a small number of blood clotting cases linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine around the world.

Prime Minister Scotty from Marketing said the additional doses would mean Australia would receive 40 million Pfizer doses this year.

Australia will donate the surplus AstraZenaca vaccines to other countries.

Australia has ordered 50m doses of Novavax’s Covid-19 vaccine. Recent studies suggest it is 100% effective against severe disease and 96.4% effective against mild and moderate illness. That effectiveness drops off somewhat with new Covid-19 variants.

Scotty’s plan to have everybody vaccinated by October is in disarray even the end of the year looks unlikely

Well done Oz for securing so many.
The only danger is (as we here in the UK have discovered) that there’s sometimes quite a difference between what you agree to buy and what you actually get.
So let’s hope that the due date of the last quarter this year is honoured.

Had a call yesterday from our surgery. My second vaccination will be next Saturday (17th). My wife has had her 2nd. jab, so that’ll be me next. :-)

A belated birthday present for you, John!

I hope all goes well for you :023:

My second jab will be this coming Friday - exactly 11 weeks after the first one.

That’s good news for you too, Margaret.

I hope all goes well

Mrs mart has got her 2nd AZ jab on Thursday.

I’ve had both Pfizer jabs and I’m sure a patch of Sun damaged skin on my nose isn’t as red and sore as it used to be. We’re hoping Mrs mart’s 2nd injection will get her up and walking again.

I don’t see why not Mart after all the press coverage the vaccine has had… Judging by today’s figures that Bruce posted in the Chinese Coronavirus thread, it has raised people from the dead…

There’s hope for us yet then.

:023:…Although I’ve just had a major setback…:frowning:

What has happened?

I hope you’re OK OGF?

Just reporting in to say, l had my second Pfizer vaccination this morning.
The first injection l had, didn’t hurt at all but this second one did very slightly. So l suppose, it all depends on who administers it?
