I was! :-D. Had a little chuckle.
His first wife was murdered by Richard Hillman. Claire did a runner to France doing a moonlight flit after admitting to cracking Toxic Tracy Luv over the head. The residents rallied round to help her. She had no life there after Ower Ashley died.
Mavis moved to Cartmel in the Lake District to run a B&B. Fred Elliott collapsed with a heart attack.
Now, Derek wasn’t as nasty as Norris but did indeed have a problem. Can’t put it into words at the mo. he had a heart attack while out in the car.
Poor old Mavis. Very naive but funny.
And for the record, I despise both Beverley Callard and Liz, so am not looking forward to the return. ‘Ssssssssteeeeeeeve!’
I believe Claire left Weatherfield with her boys, Josh and Freddie, to start a new life in France…
To be sure, Claire moved to France with her boys after Ashley died, so she did.
Oops! Still in Jim McDonald mode. Sorry about that, so I am. Shurrup Mollie!
I’d forgotten about Claire (and what happened to her) - one of the few memories is that she had a bit of a whiny voice. I liked Ashley though - sad to see him go.
When she does that, I always imagine bits of spittle flying out of her mouth
Not a nice image! You didn’t all rush out and buy her exercise video so you could look good in leopard skin lycra then?
This will stick in my throat to say it but - she does have really good legs (from what I remember).
Why do they all do exercise videos? Didn’t that girl who played the trumpet in Eastenders do one as well?
When did anyone in Eastenders ever do anything as upbeat as playing a trumpet? Must have been a long time ago!
It was I stopped watching it after Angie and Den divorced
Think I’ll do an exercise video . . .

Just like that…
Very good Valice
Natalie Cassidy (Sonia) in Eastenders played the trumpet and did the exercise video and doesn’t she look different now after losing it  They showed her on Big Brother (she’s not in the house, she was just a guest on Big Brothers Bit On The Side. If you don’t watch BB then you won’t know what I’m on about :-))
Don’t they have lovely hospitals in Corrie David had a room all too himself in hospital, and they let four visitors in to him with lots of chairs for them to sit on
I’m sure in real life David wouldn’t be in a room on his own and they would only let two people in to see him and you try and find a chair to sit on when you visit someone, they are like gold dust.
It’ not real you know how many firemen were at that accident tonight? there weren’t so many when the tram crashed.
No wonder A&E is in crisis, have you seen how much time the residents of Coronation Street spend in Weatherfield General.
I couldn’t help screeching at the TV at Leanne’s thickness!
Doctor: we’re doing a CT scan
Leanne: what does that mean?
See?! Stoopid or what?! Don’t the residents of Corrie know anything???
They ask questions like that to answer the thickest of viewers I always think. Knowing the answer reassures me I am not the target
I thought that. I find it happens all the time on Casualty and Holby too. I just find it insulting. With the amount of information available to everyone, via the media, everyday life, other people’s experience, etc., I really think there is little excuse not to know about these standard hospital procedures!!
Are there really individuals (adults) who have not heard of a CT scan, or an MRI? Heck, the Daily Mail, when doing an article, treats its readers as thick and helpfully explains even the simplest thing/procedure!
Anyways, there will no doubt be members disagreeing with me…
