Corrie

Interestingly enough, Lee Boardman who played the part of Jez Quigley, and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald), are real life best mates.

Jez was a lovable bad boy, if such a thing exists, because of his cheeky face.

I don’t think Jim will be getting parole in the near future though, so I doubt he’ll be back, just yet, so he won’t.

Catch yourself on Mollie, he only got seven years so he did, he will soon be out on parole, so he will.

:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

To be sure, and him with his past record, so I don’t think so, so he won’t! He was re-captured after committing murder, so he was, so his crime of armed robbery will run concurrently with his sentence for murder, so it will.

What are you all like with your Jim Macdonald impressions :lol::lol:

The worst part of it is, I’ll bet I wasn’t the only one reading those posts with a Jim accent going on in my head

Liz Macdonald is back in October, it wont be long before Jim returns from the big house.

Aww naw :frowning:

Quite a few characters I would love to see come back sad they keep bringing back the same ones.

Part of me wishes they had rehabilitated Jez Quigley, I liked him - a much better baddie than David.

Julie - who would you like to see come back?

I always like Curly and Rachael, also Eddie (the bin man think that was his name). Also a visit from Hilda would be very welcome.

They were an odd couple weren’t they Curly and Rachael but it worked well! Oh I loved Stan and Hilda - I know that Jack and Vera were written to take their place but, for me, it didn’t work quite as well.

What about the woman who used to help Rita run the shop (can’t remember her name) she was to blame for people saying ‘I dooon’t reeeealy knooow’

Eddie Yates or the person playing him has died.
I bet Hilda wouldn’t be the same if she made a return either.
In fact I’m not sure any character works very well making a comeback.

And don’t forget it is soapland, they make anything happen, so Jim could come back so he could.

Mavis used to help Rita in the shop, she was supposed to have retired in the country somewhere, and Mavis was married to Derek Wilton a character not too far removed from Norris.

That was it - Mavis. Thank you Valice.

Can you imagine Mavis and Norris! Doesn’t bear thinking about - Jim may not seem quite so bad after all

I used to like Fred Elliot - think he had the butcher’s shop, or am I mistaken?

Oh, wasn’t Fred the one who sounded like that rooster off the cartoons? ‘I said, now listen here our Ashley, I said’

That’s right Ben. Can’t remember what happened to Ashley though.

I think Ashley died in that tram accident, he saved Peter’s life.

Talk about a walk down Coronation Street

Yes, I think you’re right Alicat. Was Ashley’s wife killed in a fire at home?

Didn’t she run out in a road and got knocked over  She went a bit loopy didn’t she. Claire was her name.

I really can’t remember Alicat - yes, her name was Claire. Perhaps someone else can confirm your memory of her.
