Coronavirus

Last few posts my point to a tee.

I bought seeds of various veg and potato a week ago. Just need to get around to planting this weekend.

I have for a while wondered when our disposable generation would end. We are finally starting to value all the things we thoughtlessly threw in the bin.

Really? Doh!

YES, REALLY !
Please stop getting your information from comedy shows.:frowning:

They say the bubonic plague originated in China, TB in Africa, Polio has an ancient history but it wasn’t out of control until epidemics in US and Europe in the last century. Smallpox is again pre historic perhaps originating in Egypt, but the main epidemics would occur sporadically around the globe.

We have overcome these horrific illnesses. We do not point fingers at where they started. Why do you?

Hi

A virus can mutate anywhere.

China has dealt with it brutally and effectively.

The USA is advising it’s own Medical Staff to sew their own facemasks.

The biggest ever biosecurity risk to the world was in the USA, which posted out live Smallpox samples.

Mutations can happen anywhere.

In the Southern USA, rednecks eat all sorts of wild animals and do huge TV Shows promoting this.

It has happened, it could happen anywhere.

If the USA is so good, move back there Bakerman.

Sorry it’s a bit late today:

At a time like this I don’t think we can apportion blame on anybody. The Chinese and Americans (and all other countries) are all somebody’s mother, father, son, daughter, brother and sister and we must stand together in the world wide fight against this particular threat.

It’s one of the things that was always going to happen since we became a global community and people dispersed to every corner of the planet and unknowingly taking God knows what with them. I remember how here in the UK we managed to keep rabies at bay for hundreds of years using quarantine until the channel tunnel was built and the increase in air traffic.

I have no doubt the human species will survive this latest challenge and come out better prepared in the end. Every cloud…

This is getting serious…

And no laughing matter as some 2 posters think.

Went to ALDI to day to stock up tinned soup none left.

OK went on to get a couple of bottles of Whisky none left.

So went to Tescos they were quening up at the door.

This is serious might have to go tee total.

That to me is no laughing matter as a couple of posters think and sneered at me names taking

One relife is my daughter has being ordered to work from home.

Don’t bank on going tea total Galty, Tesco sold out of Yorkshire Tea for the last fortnight…:frowning:

A good sensible post Bob … :023:

The poor Italians
800 dead in the last 24 hours .
And we aren’t doing so well either ( see Galts post )

I’ve heard people here are now getting take aways from cafes and congregating in crowds on beaches…

A lone elderly woman walks in the famous "Public Market, in Seattle, Washington, only to find it closed up tightly.
Normally, an extremely crowded place. Poor old lady. I feel so sorry for her.

Bondi Beach…Australia!

Italy has had more deaths than China.

That depends on who and what you believe!
