Coronavirus

Hi

Nope.

Many countries have done remarkably little testing of the general population, which seriously skews the results.

We will have to wait for large scale antibody testing to get a clearer picture.

Yes but you dont live hear but I do

No consolation to the family tho for a loss that need not have been although his name has been cleared.

A bit of good news!
Lots of pubs and restaurants locally are doing takeaway meals, you just take a container or even plates for them to serve them on!
Luckily, it means my daughter can start her new job!

Another 33 deaths today.

I’m in North Devon, no reported cases yet, clean Devon air?

Or perhaps sensible Devon people!

Hi

I hope this link will be of help

Now might be a good time to start thinking about growing some of your own vegetables, just like your mom and grandmother did in WW2.
Not much space ? You can do a great job of growing tomatoes, beans etc., in planters, 1/2 barrels and even large plant containers.
I doubt many people have given much thought to buying seeds or seedlings… yet.
Might be worthwhile to visit a nursery, now.

I saw a video on youtube of a young woman crying because she could not buy any disposable baby diapers or baby wipes. I have no idea if they still sell cloth diapers, and I’m well aware that it is not a pleasant task, but your mom and grandmother did it. And, if pushed, you can too.

I haven’t been to the local garden centre recently but based on the amount of people asking for compost in the supermarket last week, there’s a possibility that it has all been sold.

Marge has been doing that for years. In fact, she has now begun with some butter beans - my favourite!

One one the first things to be striped from the shelves was packets of seeds so people did think of it here in god’s country.

But, as it says in the bible, man cannot live by tomatoes alone.

According to the news last night Australia is on the same trajectory as Italy with cases doubling every 3 days. Whether Scotty from Marketing’s new measures have any effect won’t be known for a week.

New measures in place for indoor gatherings, the 100 person rule has been scrapped and now a venue needs to allow 4 sq metres per person for proper social distancing. This means a venue of 100sq m can hold a maximum of 25 people.

Last night at 9pm the Australian borders closed to non residents and Aboriginal lands are about to be declared prescribed lands under the Biosecurity Act so no entry without a permit.

Last night here were five cruise ships anchored off Port Kembla harbour (Wollongong) waiting for permission to dock and unload Australian passengers. None have any cases of Covid19 at the moment.

When I drove to Canberra yesterday arvo I can’t say that there was much less traffic on the Hume Highway though I didn’t see another vehicle coming up Macquarie Pass.

How about a bit of racism.

Not racism ! Merely telling it like it is. It IS a Chinese virus.

Can’t be Chinese they have not been allowed in to the country for weeks, a lot of our cases came from Merica

Exactly right

Duh. It started in Wuhan, CHINA. Get a grip on reality.

Really? Doh!
