This was Brighton Beach today :
It defies belief. Do they think this virus is fake news?
I wish everyone and I mean everyone would realise how serious. this coronavirus outbreak is. I am in my nineties and am worried stiff yet there are so many that to them it,s just a passing fad and nothing to worry about.
You obviously didn’t, or couldn’t, read my post!
Surely intelligence comes from questioning… and I question the figures China gives for the number of deaths.
Do you believe it? Do you even question it? An intelligent person will not accept…but will question…and I think it’s extremely unlikely that China is telling us the truth!
“Try this then you silly billy FACTS” … Oh dear…that speaks for itself doesn’t it?
“Have a laught over that then you sad person”
Try and get an early night dear…and just drink water!!
:shock::shock::shock:
Agreed. I’m absolutely shocked by what I’m reading on here this evening… total, wholesale, massive, ignorance about who should be self-isolating and why. Pathetic comments about “how the government can expect someone to self-isolate”…poor little me comments…depression etc…shopping etc…Sainsburys etc… NONE OF THOSE WILL MATTER IF YOU’RE DEAD!
Follow that link to find out what happens when you don’t self-isolate and how many people you can infect!
I posted on the Corona Virus Jokes section a day or so ago about the new virus - “Iamasthickasshit”. What I’ve read this evening is a great example of that…BUT the Iasasthickasshit crowd has the potential to kill THOUSANDS!!! and they are here, as deadly as the virus itself…because they are the spreaders AND asthickasshit!!! YOU will be responsible!!!
Look at those figures. Italy… We are only
14 days behind them. 233 deaths in Italy on 7th March. 233 deaths on 21 March in the UK.
21 March in Italy = 4825
21 March add 14 days = 4 April in UK …How many people will YOU have infected by refusing to self isolate?
How many deaths will YOU be responsible for??
In my late sseventies and are worried over this outbreak.
Am sad to see a couple younger poster on this sitev having a laught over this and twisting things.
I despair of such behaviour … …this is likely to enforce total isolation for everyone .
Now that really does clarify things. Assuming that things continue as they have been, we shall have the same number of deaths in 14 days that Italy has now.
I haven’t left the house (or garden) for a few days now and I’m showing not signs or symptoms of the coronavirus, so my conscience is clear.
Look to those people, apparently young and prevalent in Londonistan, who seem to be the ones not taking things seriously.
You will have a better chance of success by persuading some of the posters on here!!!

We all realise we are going through difficult times and different people handle the situation in different ways. Everyone here, over 50, 60, 70, 80 and even 90 is very worried about the situation the world is in. We have to be positive, worrying gets you nowhere, panic is not the way to go.
This forum has members who bring a little light humour to folks,
believe me, deep down they are as worried as much as the rest of us and it’s their way of releasing their emotion and should not be taken seriously.
Thank you.
The Northern Territory will introduce strict border controls from 4:00pm on March 24 that mean anyone arriving from interstate or overseas will have to self-isolate for 14 days.
The NSW Government has closed Bondi Beach after the number of people on the famous sands exceeded Australia’s outdoor-gathering limit imposed to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The closure is temporary and the measure will extend to other beaches if social-distancing rules, which have banned non-essential outdoor gatherings of more than 500 people, are being flouted.
Small businesses will be given up to $100,000 to keep their staff employed during the coronavirus crisis, and have their loans guaranteed by the Commonwealth, as part of the Morrison Government’s second economic stimulus package.
Prime Minister, Scotty from Marketing, is set to unveil $66 billion worth of measures today, including relief for retirees and a new wage or “safety net” for workers who lose their jobs.
Not-for-profits and small businesses will receive a tax-free, cash payment of up of $100,000, with a minimum payment of $20,000 for eligible companies.
Interesting analysis on the long term effects of the virus on property:
The airline industry will wear the scars of the coronavirus pandemic for a very long time.
On Thursday, Qantas announced it was grounding its entire international fleet. American Airlines suspended three quarters of its long-haul international flights on Monday.
Lets not fight, times are so bad as it is, we need to be kind to each other.
The stress of these times is hard on our mental health. I think we will all be suffering PTSD when all this is over.
Big hugs for all here xxxx
Based on Bruce’s daily coronavirus figures (thanks Bruce) I have put together this graph plotting the series of infections in the UK from 8th March to 21st March 2020…Very worrying if it continues…
Agreed LQ…and exhausted too!
I second that thumbs up Mags, I hadn’t seen your post when I posted.

Boris has a wavey-line plan…to control the infection rate and subsequent demand on the NHS. Personally I don’t rate the chances of success unless we can get front-liners better equipped and a massive number of extra ventilators!
BUT…success depends on control of infection. THAT depends on isolation of vunerable groups.
How I hate this…
oh my goodness, so scary. Praying it doesn’t continue in that pattern.
