No? Ok, no problem. You must have some extra large retail outlets which have huge parking lots. Your PM can address the nation and ask those extra large retailers to voluntarily give some space to your military for the purpose of having “drive thru testing centers”. (That is what Pres Trump did) I would think that all can benefit from such an idea. The large retailers would get more business because people who are already there, for free testing, would think, “Well, as long as we are already here , we might as well go shopping”.

You may be correct. But, on the other hand you do have thousands upon thousands of Licensed Practical Nurses who are semi-retired or under employed. (one step down from a Registered Nurse), And, don’t forget the military. They have thousands of “medics” who could be pressed into service to man the hotel hospitals.
This news will create even more panic buying now.
There will be no food left soon! I shouldn’t be at all surprised if the poaching of farmers sheep and horses will be next!

The USA does not have either the test kits or the number of trained laboratory staff to undertake wide scale testing at this time.
Trump also claimed that Google had 1500 people working on it.
This was flatly denied by them.

Google is a SEARCH ENGINE, It is not a laboratory. It DOES NOT produce any thing. Pres, Trump was talking about Google is going to build a web site devoted to the coronavirus.
The state of California has been doing aprox 1,200 tests /day. That is California only; I don’t try to keep up with what other states are doing but I imagine that they are doing tests as fast as they can get more test kits.
I can’t imagine what you expect the President to do. Perhaps you expect him to snap his fingers and suddenly 20 million test kits magically appear out of thin air ?
Your own graph clearly shows that all 50 states are doing tests as fast as they can.
It was reported locally that in 2-3 weeks an additional 5 million new test kits will be ready.
I don’t need Pres. trump to tell me what I see with my own eyes. I see numerous drive thru testing sites where people can get tested for free.
I do so wish that you, Bruce, and a few others would stop trying to make America and Pres. Trump look inept. You have enough problems trying to solve your own nations crisis.

These are not cheap shots, these are facts.
Facts published by USA Government Agencies which flatly contradict what Trump is saying.
You may be in denial about Trump, others are not.
You are even contradicting yourself with your statement about when test kits will be ready.
The latest Trump mess up is plain to see,
Compulsory testing at airports, forcing long queues with people from different flights crowded together for hours thus greatly increasing the risk of transmission and those infected will not show any symptoms for days.
Do not confuse being anti Trump to being Anti American.
The two things are entirely different.
I’m worried about delivery vans getting raided and them then refusing to do home deliveries unless you live in some huge property with electric gates so no-one can run off with the van when they stop to do deliveries!
It seemed a ludicrous thought until I saw a story about someone being mugged for toilet roll as they came out of a saver store in London!
Some are saying the government and the media are causing unnecessary panic with ‘scare’ stories.
Look at it from a positive view. Would the government and the media be asking you to take all these precautions if they were thought it unnecessary?

Apparently folk are stealing hand sanitizers from hospitals, I’ll take my own, which I always carry as a certain loo in Wells where I park doesn’t always have water in the sink!
Someone suggested on our local FB that supermarkets open for a couple of hours just for elderly. I’m not sure if that will work as till staff seem to have colds quite often. If you catch a cold or flu that’s going to affect your ability to fight the virus.
