Coronavirus

Hi

Thanks Donkeyman.

I have had to be careful to protect my Pensions.

There are so many senior to me having a go I feel much more confidant in posting.

They are still working, I am retired so well down the list now.

I can only repeat, this is not about Politics, it is about the system.

Boris has made some huge mistakes, but he was left in an impossible position by May and Hunt, both of which are now criticising him.

As regards Corbyn and Abbott, I would rather have lost my pensions than work for them.

Sorry for departing from the subject Swim and Donkeyman, I was only responding to Annie’s post…

Hi

Absolutely no need to apologise OGF.

I value your posts.

Cheers Swim…

That I can understand, especially with our lack of police numbers (thanks to your ‘friend’ Treason May!).

So here we have a group of people - in fact no doubt a number of such groups throughout our country - who presumably don’t bother to pay taxes, don’t bother to respect our laws, and don’t respect the rest of us, simply seeing some of us as easy targets for ‘roof repairs’, ‘new drives’, etc, etc.

So what can be done about these people?

What would happen if they decided to riot or take over private property and ignore court orders to leave. Is it acceptable to allow them to continue to live above the law simply because of their large numbers?

As I understand it, they come over from Ireland every Spring, take full advantage of everything they can get, and return in late Autumn.

If they are not British citizens, should they be allowed into the country especially when we know their intentions?

When they misbehave in any way, as in this funeral, should they not be photographed or filmed for identification and neither be provided with any healthcare (never having contributed) nor allowed into the country again next year?

Rhetorical questions, of course, because we all know that they come here simply because nothing is done and nothing will be done.

If and when, in the future, this country becomes either a poor third-world country, a muslim state, or both, I think they’ll then look elsewhere.

Hi

We will not become a Muslim State.

That is simply not going to happen.

The Common Travel Area with Ireland is a massive issue.

The Political Will to deal with it is not there.

They will accept casualties to allow the Common Travel Area.

My huge injurery was IRA 1989.

Life changing.

My subsequent Injuries have been Muslim Terrorists.

Both could have been dealt with, we chose not to.

Dealing with Terrorists abroad,is not an issue.

Dealing with them here is.

The Public are hung out to dry, whilst the Politicians know they are protected so make different rules.

How to change this?

Radical but simple.

Concentrate their minds and withdraw their protection.

According to StopHS2.org £8.9m was spent in 2009, 5.3m of that was on consultancy/professional services. Between 2016 and 2018 £30m, £61m and £59m has been spent just on that one category. In 2009 the main contractor was paid £3.5m, between 2016 and 2018 spend on the same category has been £32m, £108m and £159m. They have also managed to spend £2.4m, £2.7m and £967k on hotels/travel and transport between 2016 and 2018. I’ve posted the figures as the link below shows up as not secure. However, you’d assume a stop HS2 site has done its research.

“We will not become a muslim state”.
You think we won’t; I think we will.
We won’t know because it won’t happen in our lifetimes. However, history will know that you and many think it will never happen, and that you have been proven wrong.

“Concentrate their minds and withdraw their protection”.
That would be nice. Who’s going to do it?

Hi

She is no friend of mine, she sacked me.

Not before I lost my 20% Final Salary Enhancement

An absolute Control Freak who did not listen and who sold us out not only to the EU but also to the ISIS Terrorists coming back here.

Ditto!

Donkeyman!

I know. Hence the inverted commas!

To be honest, I don’t think she’s anybody’s friend, least of all mine.

Surely they cant takenyour pension away once you start drawing it
Swimmy, can they??
I agree Boris has made acouple of mistakes since his promising
start, not cancelling HS2 was one of them?
But l can forgive him for those if only he keeps his promise to get us
out of eu cleanly and clearly!!
We shall find out in the next 3 weeks if this is so??

Donkeyman!

As for the HS2, I see this as nothing more than a self-aggrandisement for him and his colleagues. There is no need for the thing and of far more importance to the rest of us is the improvement of local lines, especially the connections between the major Northern cities.

As for leaving the EU, I’d say his future depends upon it.

As l say JBR, We shall soon see!!

Donkeyman!

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has urged the community to remain vigilant despite the easing of NSW coronavirus restrictions, which will be introduced this week.

The state recorded just two new cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm last night, with about 9,500 people tested, she said.

Despite what she called an “outstanding result”, she told people to still behave as if they are infected.

The first stage of easing of restrictions in NSW will come into force on Friday

People will be allowed outdoors for recreation but are not yet permitted to holiday in the state

The Premier said the staggered return to schools which starts Monday was “absolutely safe”

Russia has now overtaken France with 198676 cases

Russia has a far larger population than France.

Lockdown fever Bruce, it makes old people start to ramble…

That and the fact that the losers in the brexit argument are using
the virus argument to overturn the overwhelming democratic vote
to exit the eu OGF!!
Brucy is beginning to sound a bit like the mouse that roared?

Donkeyman!

maybe it does make old people start to ramble but we ramble for very good reason. We, the elderly, housebound and vulnerable are forgotten as far as the powers that be are concerned. We get little or no help from the official bodies.
We,ve done our bit for the country during our working days. Those days are over. From now on we are on our own.
