That is very true but surprisingly only about twice as big as France but they have less than 10 people per sq km compared to France with about 120 per sq km and the UK with nearly 300 per sq km.
Russia is a bit like Australia in that the main distribution of the population are around the outside, and like Oz’s outback, much of Russia is Siberia, a bit colder than the outback.
Unfortunately, they do have a border with China though, so Covid has gone all around the world and is now visiting China once again, through the back door…
Deleted.
We have pointed this out to you several times Brucy, but you seem
to be a bit dense on the subject??
Donkeyman!
Alas dear Assman this important information must have got lost in among all your babbling drivel about HS2 trains and Brexit.

What is going on in this country? First all passengers on incoming flights are required to self-isolate for 14 days, then it is announced passengers from France are exempted from this requirement!
When it comes to bringing coronavirus into this country are they somehow different from passengers from anywhere else, maybe they are also reckoned to be exempted from carrying the coronavirus? Perhaps that’s why those crossing the channel illegally by boat from France are not turned back?
"French passengers will be exempt from quarantine measures that will come into force in the UK amid the pandemic.
Boris Johnson said on Sunday they would be imposed on people arriving by air into the UK, to prevent Covid-19 being brought in from overseas.
Mr Johnson said he was “serving notice” that quarantine measures were coming.
Following his speech, No 10 confirmed a reciprocal deal with the government in Paris meant restrictions would not apply to passengers from France."
Hi
A local response to Covid.
My babbling drivel was about the effect of high speed travel on
the spread of infections around the world Brucy! And l first posted
about this in january l think ir was? Need l say any more??
Donkeyman!
I share your confusion on the lack of firm rules for aviation BAZ!
The only thing l can put it down to is that aviation must have a
powerful lobby group within parliament that scews decisions
its way??
Donkeyman!
As I’ve said in a previous post; ALL airports should be closed until the forseeable future. Visitors and cargo should only be allowed by ship.
It sounds to me that Boris is bowing and scraping to Micron in the hope of obtaining a trade agreement, no doubt along with handing over our fishing areas to him.
If I’m correct, I shall look forward to the next general election.
Hi
I simply do not understand why France has so much power over us.
It was the bane of my life.
They can swan off as far as I am concerned, closely followed by Germany.
The rest of the EU I have no problem with it all.
They where good to deal with.
Very sensible and really not bothered about further Integration.
They would have dropped the Euro as well.
I would go along with that OFG!
But it seems that airports & airlines are still unhappy despite no date
being set on implementation of quarantine?
Donkeyman!
Yes JBR, I shant feel easy untill we are really out and in charge of
our own affairs again?
Allthough it seems our leaders are lacking something still imo!!
Donkeyman!
Personally I couldn’t care if all the airlines went bust and we never flew again Donkeyman.
After all, it was airlines that got us into this mess in the first place.
But it seems that ‘Time’ is a very precious commodity these days…
I agree, although I still respect and like the Germans. As far as I know, they have not been anything like as dictatorial to us as the Frogs. It’s always the little people who seem to shout the loudest!
Yes. No-one was more pleased than I when Treason May was kicked into touch as the despicable woman so much deserved. I thought Boris was the ideal leader to replace her and, at least initially, he did everything I had hoped for.
Sadly, he still seems keen on keeping the pointless HS2, though, but apart from that he’s OK so far.
We shall see.
They also bring (among others) food and medicines.
It all should come by ship Annie, better for the planet and better for us. The human race has survived quite happily without flight up until early in the 20th century. Apart from military aircraft they are just oil burning, infection spreading monstrosities.
