Here it is but is it on the right thread ?
Thanks JBR, that one works OK.
Yes, we all seem to know this is going on and the risks now with coronavirus but those that can do something just don’t do anything. All that must cost us a fortune to say nothing of the risks of bringing in anything unwanted like coronavirus.
I believe it is.
Inviting hordes of people, who may be carrying Covid-19, into our country is going to exacerbate our problems.
We seem to be about to exceed the problems the Italians are experiencing.
Who is the head of uk border force and how can they be contacted?
Perhaps all us concerned citizens should try some personal
action??
Donkeyman!
This would be a bad situation under normal circumstances, but it is beyond belief now. This country has become a joke. We are being mismanaged, and have been for the last 30 years, since Maggie Thatcher was stabbed in the back by a bunch of scoundrels.
Absolutely. Finally, we have a PM who we might be able to trust to rectify the wrongdoings over those 30-odd years.
So far, he has said the right things, but there is still much to be done, not least the continued influx of illegal immigrants… helped by the Border Farce.
For the life of me, I don’t understand why the UK keeps voting leftists into office. This latest example of their agenda high-lights their utter stupidity when it comes to immigration policy.
With every boatload of immigrants, more and more new cases of C-19 arrive to decimate the UK.
The reason is that there are still many people who vote Labour simply because their fathers always voted for Labour. Looking at the evidence of all the negative things that Labour has achieved whenever they have been in office, I can only assume that these ‘traditional’ Labour voters are rather thick.
Fortunately, it seems that the penny is finally beginning to drop, even among these lifelong thickos, as the Labour party has failed to win an election for some considerable time now. Moreover, in this last election they received a record low number of votes.
Unfortunately, the Left is still not dead in this country. Recently, the unions are, once again, rising and are giving serious consideration to encouraging their members to go on strike should lockdowns be relaxed, presumably to extend the ‘furlough’ they and their members have been enjoying of late.
Before l left uk 45yrs ago l used to be one of those thickos, but
when lnreturned 5yrs ago anr saw what had become of uk l had a
rethink on politics and allthough a lot of the damage had imo been
caused by the tories l could see what the labour party had become
and with brexit and the advent of Boris l voted Tory on the basis of
Boris’s pledge to get us out and so far he has done ok
I now look forward to him completing the job in the next few weeks?
If he lets me down it leaves me back with Nigel l think?
Donkeyman!
Me too.
One aspect of C-19 I’m not clear on. I have several preexisting health problems. Diabetes T-2 is one of them.
Does that mean I’m more likely to develop a case of C-19 OR does it mean that IF I contract it, I’m less likely to survive ?
It means you are less likely to survive.
Why on earth are people still banging on about Brexit in this thread? Brexit has its own section of the forum, it has absolutely nothing to do with Covid19 nor do left or right politics unless you have an election coming up which you don’t.
We are all stuck with the government we have and how they deal with this situation is what we get.
Left or right has absolutely nothing to do with success against this virus. Australia has a very conservative government, New Zealand has a very progressive Labour government yet both countries have controlled Covid19 equally successfully. This surely demonstrates the stupidity of your irritating squabbles.
If you want to talk about petty UK politics or Brexit go somewhere else.

When I was transferring these figures I noticed that deaths in UK has overtaken Italian deaths from Covid19 even though UK’s total cases are less than Italy’s.
What has gone so dramatically wrong in the UK health system? It is very sad to see.
It does appear that the rate of new cases in the UK is declining which good to see.
From what I’ve read, it appears that many cases in the UK are not counted because they were never admitted to hospital. the total cases in UK are IMO actually much higher.
That was the case but they have added those figures now in fact any mention of Covid 19 is attributed to a Covid death which as I understand it is not the case in all countries.
According to the NHS Britain is one of those countries.
https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/covid-19-daily-deaths/
According to ONS figures there were 27330 deaths from Covid19 on 24th April with deaths running at over 8000 per week the published figures are far too low.
Hi
As far as all deaths are concerned we are 12 days behind in the figures.
There will be a substantial increase when the ONS releases the next set of figures.
Irrespective of the blame game, we have not done well.
Yes, and neither has the U.S. As I read more and more about the spread of the virus, I have become convinced that we will be forced to deal with the virus for several years. I can’t even begin to imagine what that will be like.
Photo of light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t see it ? Neither do I.
Yes we have wandered a little Brucy, allthough there is still an
association with corona in the thread due to the effect of illegal
immigration on the spread of the virus?
On the success of the antipodean fight against the virus this has
allready been acknowledged and dealt with earlier in this thread?
Is it necassary to keep banging on about it??
Donkeyman!
