Coronavirus

Maybe tho I can’t see any reporter being clever enough to invent the words blue vomit tho , attributed to her .

Heard it all now. An MP (Labour of course) is claiming that Covid-19 is “Disproportionately hitting members of the BAME communities reflecting economic and social inequalities. The fight against racial injustice must be at the heart of our response to this virus”

Sheesh… I didn’t realise that coronavirus was deliberately targeting ethnic minorities.

Oh, for God’s sake. Is there no way we can stop this sort of idiocy?

As I’ve said before, the Labour Party comprises the nation’s superlative comedians of the day.

We no longer produce such acts as stand-up comedians of the old school. Instead, we now excel at politicians lacking such skills as comprehension of basic arithmetic, stringing two or more words together to make a sensible sentence, and wearing a matching pair of shoes on the correct feet!

Is there no good news ? None ?

I, for one, am struggling to cope with C-19. It feels like a monster is loose, and we are losing the battle.

Unlike the seasonal flu, there seems no hope that warm, even hot, weather will end this crisis.

Yesterday was the deadliest day in the U.S with 2,000+ fatalities. I keep hoping that I will awake from a nightmare and find that it is not real.

You have my sympathies bakerman ,first you awake then the nightmare begins all over again ?

Where, Donkeyman? I have never seen a blue loo.

Oh Dear!!
It seems by the lack of response to my post re; the elderly that everyone agrees the elderly don,t matter.
How disappointing.

I agree, JBR.

Who??

I can understand that, BB, but are they saying the old and vulnerable don’t matter? As I see it ‘they’ are saying the old and those with underlying health problems are more at risk than the young and healthy, therefore we need to look out for them and try to make sure they stay safe.

In my book everyone one counts - no man is an island!:-D:-D

Did’nt you put the blue disinfectant tablets in your cistern about
20yrs ago Tabby? It was all the rage at one time to have a blue
flush!( Not talking embarassment or cards here!)

Donkeyman!

I agree.

After all, we’re all old… well, to different extents, I suppose, and some of us have underlying health problems.

Reading Bruce’s link makes me realise how serious this really is, and perhaps some of us who catch this virus might survive symptom free, but it’s not worth taking the risk. and I for one will do my damndest to avoid catching it. And if that means following Boris and the governments recommendations to the letter, then so be it…Stay safe everyone…

New things are being learned about this virus every day.

As I was driving today, I heard on the news of another knock-on affect of all this - funerals.
Undertakers put their prices up again this year, and families are saying they can’t afford to pay since so many have lost their jobs recently.

(This article was in January, before so many lost their jobs.)

That is what I was thinking too. You can only vomit blue if you have eaten blue. De oxygenated blood would be darker red or brown. Not blue.

Well the hotspots are Birmingham ,Slough and London all have which have loads of ethnic people .They also have most poorest people if you live in a House of multi occupancy crammed up with other people clearly you are more at risk .

Absolutely !
Because throughout this whole nightmare there has been a lack of compassion all around as far as I can see.
I go on Facebook and there are always horrible judgemental people calling others imbeciles cretins and morons .
Not just the old and vulnerable either .
Having said that there are many people who have shown compassion and care towards the vulnerable .
In my road people have been very good .
I had an old lady of 92 calling me to make sure we are ok
( she had passed our house and noted the curtains had been drawn for two days ) that’s because us lazy slobs hadn’t opened them until later on .
Stay safe Ben
