Please. Let,s have no thoughts on birds maybe being a reason for the rapid spreading of this virus. There is absolutely no proof whatsoever that this could be. Do we want to see people out there with air guns, catapults and other means shooting these beautiful creatures and then finding that they are in no way to blame whatsoever.
No, my friends son didn’t mean it was birds that was spreading it. He just commented that something killed them as he encountered 3 dead ones on his walk. No one mentioned anything about the birds being the spreaders I don’t think Ben.

You’ve got to wonder TessA, the internet is alive with stories about the dangers of 5G. It’s a perfect time to convert the 4G masts while nobody is about.
I don’t believe 5G has anything to do with the virus though, but these could be stories put about by the authorities to rubbish the whole conspiracy thing about 5G…
It wasn’t suggested that birds were causing anything. 5G is being blamed for them dying, something to do with radio waves interfering with their brains or something.
About eight years ago a lot of birds were falling from the sky, I wonder if that was anything to do with radio waves?
It’s not about the virus Ben, it’s about 5G killing birds. apparently the frequency they use with 5G is very dangerous and not just dangerous to birds.
It has also been suggested that the reason dolphins and whales deliberately throw themselves onto a beach and die is because radio waves from telecommunications are interfering with their navigation TessA…
This is exactly what I was saying to a friend last night, but he thinks I’m off me trolley and it’s all scaremongering by someone who is very Anti-5G.

They use up to 6Ghz the same frequencies used in the 60s to 80s by transmitters in the PO Tower and other microwave towers all over Britain. Did we get reports of bird falling out of the sky then? Those transmitters were much more powerful than 5G and far more concentrated as they were very directional.
We have had reports in our news of half wits in the UK attacking and burning 5G towers. Repeating this sort of nonsense is the cause.

UK fights 5G coronavirus conspiracy theories
Many conspiracy theories have been circulating since the outbreak of coronavirus, including claims the virus is a result of 5G exposure.
In the UK, mobile phone masts have in recent days been burned and vandalised and telco company staff have been abused.
An arson attack at a tower in Birmingham owned by BT, Britain’s biggest telco, caused significant damage.
It provided 2G, 3G and 4G services to thousands of people, but did not have 5G capability, BT said.
On Saturday, UK officials called the growing 5G conspiracy disgusting fake news and “complete nonsense”.
“That is just nonsense, dangerous nonsense as well,” British Cabinet Officer Minister Michael Gove said.
NHS England’s national medical director, Stephen Powis, said the theory was “utter rubbish” and “the worst kind of fake news”.
"I’m absolutely outraged, absolutely disgusted that people would be taking action against the very infrastructure that we need to respond to this health emergency, " he said.
The theory that 5G mobile telecommunications masts play a role in spreading the novel coronavirus also seems to be gaining traction in Australia.
The second top-trending Google search question this weekend was: “Is 5G safe?”.

I have thought that Australia’s PM has bumbled through this crisis and was led (fairly well) by the state Premiers. Certainly Scotty from Marketing didn’t provide the leadership the event called for.
Likewise I didn’t think Boris Johnson provided much leadership either, he just seemed to follow in Britain’s tradition of poor leadership with too little, too late. Anyway that was just my observation from afar.
NZ Prime Minister the lovely Jacinda Arden on the other hand after brilliantly handling the Christchurch Massacre has once again been a shining light of true, compassionate leadership. We have claimed many Kiwis as ours but she is definitely one we need to drag across the Tasman.

The Ruby Princess cruise ship has docked at Port Kembla a day after NSW Police announced a criminal investigation into the handling of the ship’s passengers.
The massive 18-deck ship still has 1,040 crew from 50 different countries on board, and about one fifth of them are exhibiting coronavirus symptoms.
Eleven deaths and more than 600 cases of COVID-19 have been linked to the ship, meaning it is the single biggest source of coronavirus infections in Australia.
The Ruby Princess is staying at Port Kembla for 10 days to refuel and stock up supplies, but how the crew will be repatriated, and where the ship will go next, remains unclear.
