With the number of cases growing exponentially, the numbers of deaths will also increase. No surprise there.
But you ignore the fact that the virus kills mainly the old and otherwise
afflicted people Brucy, when it has done this there will be no old or
afflicted people left to kill, and so the death rate will fall exponentially?

older population, and it is the youngsters
who are putting themselves more at risk,
so it may not be that simple?
Those countries doing more testing are bound to have a higher number of cases recorded, even mild cases. In the UK we only seem to be testing the more serious cases thus the higher death rate. The number of cases self isolating at home is an unknown figure.
Protecting the older population means hospital beds and equipment needed for when the spike comes will be available ?That’s how I’m seeing it .
I question whether we are protecting the old and infirm biffo?
More like leaving them at home to fend for themselves l would
say with orders to stay there?
And if the youngsters are putting themselves at risk it is their own
fault, as they have been given time off work in order to self isolate??
The ones that need protection are the essential workers and the
stricken imo?

I’m not going to join in the quibbling about figures and percentages. It is pointless, especially when different sources have different means of counting!
What does annoy me is the number of people who ignore distancing rules and other suggestions. As far as I’m concerned, covidiots will get exactly what they deserve. Let them do what they want.
Muslims can go to their mosques - God will protect them.
Christians can go to their churches - God will protect them.
Deniers can congregate as much as they want - they are ‘immune’ anyway.
The rest of us, the sensible, can continue to avoid other people and avoid catching the infection. I believe that most old people - the more easily affected - are likely to have the sense to follow the self-isolating guidelines.
Leave the others to it.
Our hospitals cannot cope with the numbers arising and, even then, those infected are quite likely to die even after treatment.
We are overpopulated as a country. We all know that. Who are the best people to lose? The covidiots, of course!

And in the case of Spain and ventilators, maybe thats because
Germany has most of the ventilators in europe and seem reluctant
to share them? They prefer to fly patients in from spain and ltaly
for ventilator treatment to sending the machines to the patients
thus creating risks of infections to german citizens??
Plus the extra risks to sick ltalian and spanish patients due to
having to be moved whilst being very ill?
And the costs of chartering aircraft to do the moving ??

funnily enough I have just come off the phone with my friend and she told me her son went for his walk and he encountered 3 dead birds along the way.
I have also heard there are conspiracy theories that this is caused by the 5G but I haven’t looked into it so don’t know anything about it, just heard about it.
I have to say that I am not one to believe all these scare stories.
Having said that, I personally have no interest whatsoever in accepting anything to do with 5g. I find 4G to be more than sufficient for my needs, and 3G as well for that matter.
Me too, I’ve managed quite well with 3 and 4G.
