Coronavirus

Thanks Muddy

Hi

Yes, we cannot test everyone and to be 100% accurate we would have to test everyone everyday.

The antibody test kit is due to be available soon, cheap and on the spot.

From midday on Monday, Australia entered a new era in its history.

Widespread closure of businesses will be enforced, and people have been told to stay at home to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Most businesses, including major retailers and department stores, can continue to run if they comply with social-distancing guidelines,

Under the new measures, cafes and restaurants will be able to operate, but only to offer takeaway and delivery services.

With all non essential services to shut down just who are essential services that can remain open?

Supermarkets
Banks
Petrol stations
Pharmacies
Convenience stores
Freight and logistics
Food delivery

Grog shops

Thank gawd for that!

How about this for a conspiracy theory…

A vicious new virus is released from a town in China that nobody has heard of…

It quickly takes hold of the local population and hundreds die, mainly the elderly…

It spreads surprisingly quickly to all corners of the civilised world…

Flights are suspended with some companies going out of business…

People are frightened to be denied the things they love so Food shortages appear across the country…

All sporting events are cancelled…

Restaurants, Theatres, Cinemas and Pubs are closed…

Because of the speed of the spread people are advised to stay at home and not congregate…

Many don’t, and due to popular demand, Boris is forced to put the army on the streets to maintain order…

And all this in six weeks…

If I’d have wrote this at Christmas when everyone was tucking into Christmas Pud and pulling crackers, you would have laughed me out of the park…Which is now closed incidentally…

Yesterday’s conspiracy theory becomes today’s reality…

Same here…a mate and 4 others got £50 tickets for 5 minutes outside the local greengrocers and chemist for Gods sake.

Eeeekkkkkkk.

That is your perception and I think it’s unfair.

There’ll be a new rule enforced today I’m sure . Have you seen pictures on the tubes this morning ? http://Coronavirus: Trains still packed as commuters fail to observe social distancing http://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-trains-still-packed-as-commuters-fail-to-observe-social-distancing-11962213

Yes, it’s amazing that anyone could be so idiotic. What do they hope to achieve, other than delaying ambulances doing their work and saving people’s lives.
Are they so stupid that they can’t understand that it could one day be they themselves who need help?

Surely you don’t support and condone the sort of things that Extinction Rebellion do, do you Muddy?

Unfair to whom Muddy…?
Do you believe that this was just a prank Muddy?
Because I don’t, the perpetrator might be sentencing a member of their own family to death…Who would do that unless they were brainwashed.

Members of ‘Extinction Rebelion’ are out and out nutters preventing people going to work by standing on the roof of tube trains risking their lives.

Do you think that organisations such as these are not capable?
These and other crackpot groups have certainly been capable in the past.
It’s certainly worth considering.

The big cities seem to be flouting the advice Zuleika why?
Everywhere should be closed, and there can’t be that many people still going to work?

You think OGF ?
Put Sky News app into your device and see all the people packed into tube carriages this morning?https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-trains-still-packed-as-commuters-fail-to-observe-social-distancing-11962213

Death toll a couple days ago 10K

Today over 15K

Dont think we find it funny anymore as some on this site do.

Yes, I followed your link Zuleika, although I couldn’t follow it on the forum, it was still in my inbox from the notification.
I just can’t understand why people should act like that…:017:

I’m at work :cry::cry::cry::cry:

Didn’t you mention that staff had be cut to a minimum Lion Queen, and there were just two of you now working in one office.

All the major stores, restaurants, pubs, clubs, theatres, cinemas are closed, and the large office blocks in Canary Wharf surely can’t be allowing large numbers of staff into work…So why all the people on the tube?

Take care Lion Queen, and look after yourself…

They were talking about it last week but its not been put in place yet, however there are only four in my office but there are still some people in our buildinig as they havent all got laptops yet to work from home. I was told this morning one of the staff members has tested positive, everyone is playing hell, we shouldn’t be here. Hopefully not too long before everyone other than us are working from home. Thank you Foxy, you stay safe too x

I think OGF meant in London LQ https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-trains-still-packed-as-commuters-fail-to-observe-social-distancing-11962213

Hi

People are still being idiots, saw some this morning hanging around in groups.

Most people were keeping their distance in Morrisons, those who did not the security staff were bollocking, which was good.
