Well, the food supply has finally caught up with demand. Yesterday I went grocery shopping in the U.S. and I was able to get almost all of what I wanted. Found a whole baked ham (4.5 kilo), several 2 kilo blocks of extra sharp cheddar cheese and best of all, large bags of Bread flour. Those items plus a bunch of canned goods.
No waiting line at all.
That is an illusion on their part. With this virus, large groups of people, there is no safety in numbers. Quite the opposite.
I know this is off topic everyone, wouldnât it be nice if we could be like the Invaders - zap and make all these obnoxious bums disappear.
No more selfish yob culture. Annihilate the lot of 'em.
If onlyâŠSigh
That was my pointâŠthe attitude that it will be somebody else who gets the virusâŠand not them.Wishful thinking at the least.
4.5 kilos
Its less 20 miles from me and I use the cafe as I have always have done on a Sunday for the last 20 years
Sad to say it was shut down so the nice Italian owner is not making a living.
But did see two scum bag wardens giving out tickets on a Sunday
Iâd expect suspension of parking restrictions if NHS staff and others want to avoid public transport.
Indeed. The hospital at which my sister works (in Bradford) requires staff to pay for parking and, worse, itâs a long walk from the car park to the hospital.
Iâm not sure whether all hospitals charge their staff, though it wouldnât surprise me.
The MyGov website has crashed as Australians try to access government services like Centrelink (Social Security) online.
Photos showed queues outside some Centrelink offices stretching around the block this morning.
Yesterday Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the Government was ordering non-essential business including pubs and gyms to close by midday in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus.
The Government is also doubling dole payments as it seeks to cushion the economy from the devastating impact of the pandemic

I wonder how accurate the figures for Cases are? Because the raw figures for mortality rate using the figures above vary dramatically from country to country:
Australia 0.4%
UK 4.9%
USA 1.3%
I donât believe there should be that much difference between countries. (I hope my maths is right) I suppose it could be a largely a matter of the age group affected but you would expect them to be similar.
We are not testing here so Iâm not sure how those figures are compiled
That canât be right. According to Public Health England Web site:
Number of cases
As of 9am on 22 March 2020, 78,340 people have been tested in the UK, of which 72,657 were confirmed negative and 5,683 were confirmed positive. 281 patients in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.
Those figures are the same as those I quoted so someone is testing.
The advice here is if you think you have the virus self quarantine for two weeksâŠdo not go to the docs or the hospital just self quarantine. There is no testing in the community so Iâm not sure how they know true figures.
Hi
They are testing those with symptoms who attend Hospital, and then using modelling.
I donât know about the UK but Californiaâs Covid-19 Task Force said that for every known case, there are probably 3 unknown cases, some of which are not showing any symptoms, and they can transmit the virus to others.
Thanks SwimmyâŠI did wonder
So many think it unnecessary to follow the advice given by the Government, The NHS etc;
I wonder if one of these idiots would have the guts to tell us all why they think all these precautions are just scaremongering.
So itâs a best guess then SwimâŠ?
Keep losing this link just bumping it up
I canât for the life of me think of a reason why someone would do such a thing just for a laughâŠ
And then I thought of the hair brain things that âExtinction Rebellionâ have done, and will do for the cause. Everything that is happening in the world today is straight out of their handbookâŠ
