If statins work for you that’s fine, but I can describe at least four friends who took statins and are unable to walk properly, not to mention run. Just another example of what suits one doesn’t suit everyone. It would be just my luck to be struck down by statins or the vaccine.

The accepted test period for any new vaccine is two to three years, so how can it possibly have been monitored over that time period. Yes ripple, fit people have been brought down with the virus, and people who have had heart attacks have survived. You are assuming that I have no faith in the medical profession Annie, but I think we have some of the best medical care in the world backed up by some very skilled specialists. But we do disagree from time to time especially when the MSM take the advice of their correspondents who know sweet Fanny Adams about medical issues.
As I understood it at the start, the AZ vaccine was an extension of existing technology, the pfizer was new technology linked somewhere to genetic stuff, old folks, new stuff, not sure.

I think you misunderstand the concept of Herd Immunity.
It does not mean that everyone is protected, just that the virus has much less impact on the population as a whole, it will still kill individuals who are not protected.
I also think that there are misconceptions about Statins.
I was unable to take the older ones 20 years ago due to the side effects.
Last year I was put on one of the newer ones with no problems at all.
Exercise and fitness is not a guarantee of not being affected.
As I have mentioned before, I was on a Covid Ward with a 42 year old male gym fanatic who had been put in a medically induced coma for 30 days and who had to learn to speak again.
His lungs and heart have been permanently damaged.
I will have the vaccine every time.
