Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Good morning everybody.

I’m out walking with my friend Chris today but only a two mile walk round a local reservoir.
We need to combine it with a bit of clothes shoppping as we’re both going on holiday in less than 2 weeks. I genuinely need some new stuff due to steroid induced weight gain.

Tony is out with Ady for the day so he will have a nice day too.

Have a good day all…

I love that little dress well done Sheba

morning all, its grey and breezy here , I might be getting a delivery today .

My 1st Cosmos is in flower, and my SweetPeas are scenting the Garden ,Im really plesed with my plant growing .

Have a wonderful day .

Morning all.

My last day being without the dog, I have done most of what had been planned in her absence, and today will catch the trains to Cromer, for a few hours there. There is a lovely ceramic poppy display on the church I want to see, browse in a lovely gift shop I saw on an earlier visit, have an ice cream, and hope to see some Jubilee aircraft practising. Holly’s carer is now fully booked until November so this could well be my last chance this year. It doesn’t matter what time I leave for home, as not collecting her until tomorrow morning, about 9.30. (usual time). I think rain is due around 4-5.

Also, it was good catching up with the others in the writing group last night in person. We should have a different house in future, still closer to my home, this side of the bridge, so I won’t worry about leaving Holly so much. I could always check future times and ask to be let off early. Last night we didn’t finish till about 9.15.

Have a good day.

Good morning all.
My knee is very painful this morning. I could not walk very far on the field. But I got Minnie running around, so she had some exercise.
I am looking forward to having the injections later this afternoon, and I just hope that they still work.
Nothing much else I can do today, just sit and read or watch TV. BORING. 😵‍💫

Hope you manage to have them done today and they take effect.

Morning everyone, it’s looking a bit dull today, and feeling quite chilly. Hope it improves!

Thanks you two! I love to sew her clothes, it’s so satisfying and she always loves them. The time will come when she won’t want nana-made clothes, so I make the most of it while she does

@Jazzi enjoy your day in Cromer, it sounds as if you’ll have plenty to do there. And I’m glad to see you seem to be happier with your writing group now.

@Emjay good luck with the injections, I do hope they ease that pain and you can start to get out and about again.

Afternoon all.

Its freezing cold with the wind, I bet Janet is feeling the cold in Cromer.

Janet the road and buses should be back to normal tomorrow.

Have a nice day all.

we have had heavy showers here, and very windy at times . my delivery of more Bark and compost arrived .

Very odd day, I have just been released by the police, I was out walking Fang der Wunderhund in the park When I found the skull in the wooded area, the first thing I did was call the police. But then I got curious about it. I picked it up, and started wondering who this person was, and why he had deer horns.
The police were not amused.

Thanks Bath. Yes, it was good at the writing group. Definitely easier when there with them in person.

Susie, it was quite windy, and cold, at times.

It’s been quite chilly here all day - I wouldn’t say cold exactly, but chilly enough for a jumper, rather than the T-shirts and lightweight cardigans I’ve been wearing. Hopefully warming up by the end of the week :crossed_fingers:

Good morning all, lovely and sunny here.
Off to do our weekly shopping this morning.
Got Rhubarb to cook when I come back.
Janet glad you had a nice time.
Have a nice day all.

God morning all.
It is not too bad here at the present time with the weather.
Well I had my injection yesterday, and today at first it felt a bit better. Yea right. Until I took Minnie out onto the field. I managed about 100 yards or metres and had to turn back.
I suppose I should allow the injection more time to work. But in the past they worked quicker. Although this time the knee is the worst that it has ever been.
Needless to say, shall not be doing much today.

Morning all.

Yes, maybe a little more time needed, Emjay.

Morning everyone, cooler her this morning and a few cooler days to come they say, brrr…

I’m baking bread this morning and cooking a lasagne for lunch, but nothing else planned at the moment.

@Emjay , hope your pain eases soon but make sure you don’t sit down for too long, continuing to move the knee now and then is very important, in spite of the pain…

Have a pleasant day folks

Morning everyone, bit dull out there today, thick cloud forecast all day. Hoping tomorrow will be as the app is currently forecasting - sunshine all the way - because it’s the last day before half term and to celebrate the Jubilee my granddaughter’s school is having all sorts of outdoor fun, including a bouncy castle and an ice cream van. It would be so disappointing if it rained.

Will be popping round to feed my daughter’s dog at lunchtime, and then picking my daughter and granddaughter up from their respective schools. Later I shall be babysitting my little 7 week old granddaughter, while mum and dad go with the boys to see Top Gun 2. Wish me luck - they have a 3 month old puppy and the baby has colic and cries every time she’s put down. I could be in for a trying time…

good morning ,another cold grey and breezy day.We had several heavy Showers yesterday …
My heating keeps coming on , so I shall have to lower it .

Im sorting through some books that will go to the Charity Shop ,
Some Charity shops are getting picky on what they will take ,Ive been to one that wont take CD,DVD or Books .

I was wanting to donate a Table at the Furniture shops but they said they had enough .
Well I shall have to put a add in the PO and see what comes of that .

I need a trip to the Village shop for fruit,so that is my plan for today .

@Jazzi you seem to have had a brilliant few days free time …
@susiejaeger Rhubarb , I would love a Rhubarb Crumble , I shall look in my Fruit shop for some .
@Emjay I wish your pain away

Have a Wonderful Day

@Eliza yes my few days have been brilliant, apart from in the night, a tummy upset following on, I think, from the pork baguette I had for lunch. But then again, it could well have been the ice cream. Who knows? I barely slept and had to dash out about 7.15 this morning to Morrisons, as I had one Imodium left.

Off to get the dog now. Missed her so much.

Oh not a good ending for you . hope you feel better soon . Id put my money on the Pork that upset you …
