Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Thanks @Eliza - I’ll try to remember to post some pictures when they’re finished

@Emjay poor you! I can so relate - my left knee ‘goes’ like that as well, no warning. Horrible isn’t it? I remember it happening at a Nat Trust property once, and we were a good way from the car - had to climb up a few steps out of the sunken garden too! I don’t know how I managed it, looking back. I hope you can manage until the injection. Take care, and do rest!

Just had an hour or so by the beach. First an ice cream and two hot donuts, then walking Holly along the prom. She enjoyed being fussed over.

Annoyingly the bascule bridge was raised both times, which added time to the journey. Otherwise it is five minutes from home. Switched engine off when I saw it going up.

Very little parking when I got back but just in time saw neighbour take her teen out, so was able to park properly once she’d gone. Say it quietly but it is quiet in the gardens, so I am here in mine, ate a sandwich, having a cuppa.

Good morning everybody.

I had planned to get more garden work done today but this morning my upper arm really aches a lot following my booster jab yesterday … There’s a good reason to take it easy!

I think Tony & I will go a walk to the next village with his mobility scooter & have a drink at the 16th century thatched roof pub.

No other plans.

Have a good day all…

Morning all.

Holly is soon off to her carer for 3 nights. Gives me the opportunity to (a) have some days out to myself, and (b) liberally apply flea killer around the house. I will hoover this evening (no dog chasing it), then spray in the morning, as I will be out for the day. I also want to spray moss killer out on the path, and part of the fence (that is accessible). That depends on if it will rain.

Had a terrible night, with very little sleep, and just generally feeling yeuch. I had also hit my head yesterday, sideways on, on a cupboard door I’d left open. Silly moo. So that hurt, too. What am I like?

Ok, best get on. I have an hour to walk the dog, have some breakfast and load her bits in the car. And get ready for my day out to Norwich. Eeeeek.:grin:

Good morning all.
Well I thought that my knee felt a bit better this morning after all the things I had been doing to it. Heat pads, cold bags of peas from the freezer, my ‘pain gone’ electric shocker thing, paracetamol. But again when I took Minnie out a short while ago, it started again. So it was another short walk
I feel so helpless as I like to be able to do things. I keep telling myself that ‘this ain’t me’.
Well I have plenty of books to read, TV, and can stare out of the window and watch the world go by.

Good morning all , I had a lovely day yesterday spent at Garden Centre and planting +a walk .The garden i’m helping with is almost done .

Today is going to be a quite day,I need to rest up .

Have a wonderful day

Morning all, shopping done and put away and the day is mine to waste oh, apart from cooking lunch, doing some cleaning and cutting Mum’s lawns, so maybe have a few minutes to waste this evening then…

Enjoy your day everyone

Morning everyone, it’s a bit dull here, with showers forecast, though no rain yet so fingers crossed.

Will be finishing my granddaughter’s jubilee dress today, then onto the tiny one for my other baby granddaughter. No dog duties today, it’s my daughter’s neighbour’s turn to walk and feed her.

@Emjay sorry to hear your knee’s still misbehaving. It’s so frustrating, isn’t it?

Good morning everybody.

I need to nip into town for a haircut this morning.
I go to ‘My barber’ no appointment needed - just go in & wait.

I also need to make an appointment to have my ears syringed. No longer available at the doctors!!

This afternoon I want to potter in the garden with Tony.

Out for a meal with Ady, Paula & family tonight.

Have a good day all…

Good morning all.
Still suffering with my knee. I did not do my daily stroll around the fields. I just went out there and let Minnie run around for a while, and came back in.
So I can’t go do my weekly Sainsbury’s shop, but have made a list and my daughter will do it when she does hers later this morning.
I feel so helpless and trying to tell myself that this is not me.
Weather here… does it matter? Stuck in my lounge with my books, iPad for my chats and puzzles, and TV.

Sorry to hear that you are struggling with your knee @Emjay , hope it eases for you pdq…

Just back from our walk and having an hour with a cuppa before making some curry for the freezer, then after lunch I’ll be visiting my daughter and mowing Mum’s lawns, so a busy day ahead.

Take care peeps and have a pleasant day

Morning all.

Sending get well wishes to Emjay. Hope the pain eases.

Was in bed by 9 but up in the night too many times. All that coffee I drank yesterday, lol.

I have now put the black bin in the alley, submitted my homework for this evening, printed those out I have received, finishing breakfast, then will see about going out for the day, after I have sprayed around with the flea treatment. Hoping it has all settled by the time Holly comes home Thursday morning.

good morning all , a much cooler day with a breeze , Hope the poorly ones among us feel better soon ,
Ive ordered some more bags of Bark and Compost this morning ,
Not sure what i will do today .

Have a wonderful day everyone …

Morning everyone, it’s a nicer view out of the window this morning, lovely blue sky and fluffy white clouds, with sunshine forecast all day :sun_with_face: :sunglasses: :sunny:

I finished my granddaughter’s Jubilee dress yesterday, pic attached as promised. Now to get on with the tiny one for my baby granddaughter. But first I have to make a little bunny ears hair tie for the 6 year old to go with the dress. That shouldn’t take long!

Thanks Eliza. When I took it round to my granddaughter yesterday after school, she grabbed it and cuddled it to her chest, haha! Think she liked it

You are a clever gal, Sheba.
