Carol, please feel free to post anytime on here. Being chit chat, it is neither a morning nor evening thread, so if you want to post in the middle of the night, we will see your posts whenever! It is good you do post here. Enjoy the theatre.
Barry, you ok mate? Hope you feel better soon.
As for me, I am still suffering a bad headache, which must be due to stress. But I suppose I must learn not to get so uptight with the neighbours. I have all but given up on using the garden, but do feel bitter when my downtime in front of the tv is spoilt. The NfH constantly opening (creaking) and slamming their front door. The mouths (loud) on the adults. The daily dose of their radio playing loudly in the garden. The boys on the other side making a noise/playing up and causing their dad to shout at them. (I can hear every word.)
And no, I am not moving house! I just need to learn how to cope with it, and tell myself the NfH DO want a bigger house (to live in together) sometime in the future.
Oooh, I was considering doing a beef and ale pie. I have the meat, a can of ale, but also got a casserole mix pack, with the intention of doing the latter, then when wandering about with the dog yesterday I thought, mmmmm, why not make a pie? I need to rummage in the freezer for some pastry.
No way Carol. Both families either side are renters, so it is quite likely either or both could move. The young family, though ok for now, have considered wanting a bigger house too, but not yet.
I paid out enough when I moved from London, fees when selling the flat, removal fees, fees when in the rental, fees for dropping out of a house purchase, fees and removal costs when buying this. I have had enough of paying out, left, right and centre, so Iām staying put. I have everything I need, in this road. Friendly neighbours, town centre, supermarkets and shops within easy reach.
I know how easy it is to just say, well move if youāre unhappy. But after several moves in as many years, it really isnāt practical. And I wonāt let them drive me out. Let them b****r orf!!
Good morning all.
My knee is still giving me grief. Will I last out until next Wednesday when I get the next lot of injections.
Apart from that, just taken the freshly made bread from the machine and looks loverly.
I will be going to my daughter this evening for dinner. I keep telling her and it is true, that it is the best meal of the week.
Good morning all.
The weather here at the moment is not too bad. But I can see some nasty looking stuff heading this way.
As usual I have taken Minnie out, and laundry in now in the dryer.
Nothing else yet planed, so will just let it happen.
I had a lovely time at the theatre last night. It was good to get out.
Paula & Josh came over to stay with Tony. Theyāre still in bed now at 9.20. I can hear Josh talking to himself but when I just peeped in on them Paula had her head buried under the duvet.
Once theyāve gone home around lunchtime Tony & I plan on getting out in the garden - the lawn is in desperate need of mowing.
Good morning everyone, looks like being another nice day here so no doubt the garden will be calling, although thereās no much to do at the moment other than watch it growā¦
Just heading off to the forest with the hound first though, and weāll just have some soup and bread later for lunch.
I am back upstairs with a cuppa, then might have a short while back in bed after. See how I feel. For the time being I have a sleepy dog that wants belly rubs.
Tony & I are going for our covid booster jab this morning.
This afternoon we plan on settling down with chocolate to watch an afternoon matinee of Fridays Coronation St. I missed it with going to the theatre Friday night.
I may also do a bit in the garden - nothing strenuous, just potting geraniums & marigolds up & a bit of weedingā¦
Morning all, looks set to be another beautiful day.
Had a busy day yesterday, taking granddaughter to her swimming lesson, then back to theirs and decided on the spur of the moment to assemble the IKEA furniture we bought for our daughterās birthday. All went pretty well until I snapped a piece of dowel in half. Mr B to the rescue with a substitute that he cut a sanded to fit.
So today Iāll be back at my sewing machine, making my granddaughter a red, white and blue dress for her schoolās Platinum Jubilee celebrations on Friday. Will also be making a teeny tiny one for my 6 week old granddaughter, as I have enough fabric!
Good morning all.
Ooooh the pain. I was out yesterday morning at the local park. Just sitting one of the metal seats that they have there. When I went to leave, my left knee went. I had to hobble the half mile back to the car, stopping every couple of minutes to rest.
It felt better this morning, and when I took Minnie out, I had only gone a few yards when it went again. I just about managed to do the top of the field and back. Just taken a couple of paracetamol and got a hot pad on it.
Need I say, not doing anything today.
Got the injections for it on Wednesday, if I last that long.
Morning all, its lovely and sunny here.
Not going out today, did quite a bit of walking yesturday, so resting today.
Emjay please rest your knees today, I do feel sorry for you, have you tried putting an Ice pack on your knees?
Have a nice day all.
