Hmmm - it’s given me something to think about. I wonder how many things I can get connected to my TV though? I already have my cctv camera connected.

I’d planned on a walk through the bluebell woods with my friend Chris today but the weather not looking too promising. I think we’ll probably change the plan and go to the retail park instead.
Ady will be taking Tony out for a drive in the Peaks.

It is not raining here yet but heavy clouds heading this way from the west.
My daughter is going to drag me out sometime today to M&S. why? Don’t know. One thing I have learnt, is never go with a woman shopping.
TVs and recorders. I have quite a few things plugged into my TV. I have 2 HD recorders CD player, VHS recorder, PS4, and a special firestick.
I really don’t need all these as the stuff that I have on the HD recorders are mostly films. Any of these films I can find on my other devices. Also I have access to Netflix.
Thinking about these, it is time for some of them to go.
Just keep the CD player, Firestick, and PS4.

Both dogs now shorn, so taking a breather before cleaning the bathroom, and maybe a walk later if the rain stops.

Morning all.
Carol, if you have a recent tv, you should have multiple hdmi slots, but these allow you to attach more devices.
I was up late this morning, but never mind.
My TV is quite old & there are only three hdmi slots. One is taken with the cctv recorder.
That 3 port switch that you’ve just posted looks just the job…
Then if you have two slots free, you can still attach a pvr, as suggested by Barry. Your tv remote will then be used to search for the ‘source’, whether the pvr, the DVD player (new one, hopefully!) and anything else, hope you find something suitable.
I am quite concerned about my dvd/vhs combi because they are not made anymore.
A late good morning to you all. It’s raining here, but hey, we’ve had days and days of dry sunny weather, so I’m not complaining. The gardens need it.
I’m trying to book accommodation for when we attend my sister’s funeral. Not easy, as we don’t want a hotel, but self-catering, and there’s not a lot to choose from in that part of the world. The one I’ve stayed at before, which is really lovely and close to where we need to be, is only available until the day after the funeral, meaning we’d have to be out of there by 10.00am. I really want to be able to stay for a day or two afterwards, so we can spend some time with our family up there. It’s looking as if we’ll have to be further away. Oh well, can’t be helped.
Nothing much planned for today, the damp, soggy view out the window doesn’t inspire me, I’m afraid! So I’ll just have a potter about, and a lazy day.

The nearest Travelodge is around 15 miles away, unfortunately!
I think I have now - it’s a s/c cottage about 8 miles from where the funeral will be held. And it’s pretty easy for visiting my two brothers, who are only a few miles away. I did just try ringing another place, somewhere that we’ve stayed before, but the phone number is no longer in use. That’ll explain why their webpage wouldn’t load either. They’ve probably gone out of business, which is a pity because it was a lovely place, and they’d obviously invested a lot in it.

I’m off birthday shopping for the second time this week. This time it’s with daughter Karen. Her birthday’s next Monday.
We’re all out for a meal tonight with Paula & Ady to celebrate Paula’s 40th birthday which is today. Hopefully this will throw her of the scent of the surprise party we have planned for Saturday…
