Have a good day
Good afternoon everybody.
I’ve been sorting my drawers & cupboards out this morning.
Since I lost my airing cupboard to the new combi boiler I’ve had nowhere to keep my towels.
First I put them on a shelf at the top of a bedroom cupboard but didn’t like them there.
I had a shelf put at the top of the airing cupboard & I’ve transferred all my spare bedding/blankets/quilts to this shelf and emptied the blanket chest they were in. I’ve now put my towels in the blanket chest & there they will have to stay.
Now that’s sorted Tony & I plan a walk round the local pond after lunch.
Have a good day all…
Afternoon.
A bit late today. I went to Tesco’s, then cooked a roast lunch, didn’t sit down till nearly 2.30.
Done some more towards packing, gathering stuff together. Surprising what you need to take, just for a short caravan break. I will also take my own linen because Holly sleeps on the bed, so will need to change that.
Fed her, early, I am sitting with a cuppa, (resting) then she will want a walk soon, I expect.
Afternoon everyone.
Well, we had no real plans yesterday, and then got an invitation in the morning to a barbecue at our ex DiL’s to celebrate our grandson’s 16th birthday this Tuesday. So I wrapped his present up (so pleased I’d already bought it!) and we spent a pleasant afternoon there with his other grandparents, uncle and cousins. Our son popped in for an hour or so too (they are pretty amicable these days, and share custody of the boys).
Just been to my daughter’s to take a dress back that I’d fixed for her. It’s brand new, and has long sleeves with flutter sleeves at the shoulder. She wore it once, but the flutter sleeves always flipped back and laid on the shoulder, which was really annoying, and ironing them made no difference she said. So I’ve stitched them close to the seam on the shoulder and they sit properly now. Also made her a summer weight infinity scarf that she wanted - she loves it so much she wants several more - honestly, as soon as I get a few sewing jobs out the way, several more get added to the list, haha!
Good morning everybody.
Bank Holiday Monday but we’ve no special plans.
Will most likely go with Tony on his mobility scooter to the next village & sit outside a 16th century pub.
Jazzi, enjoy your caravan breakaway from the neighbours.
Have a good day all…
Good morning all, dull and cloudy here.
No real plans for today, might just go into Gorleston Town later.
Have a nice day all.
Janet, have a nice break, and we will see you on Thursday.
Good moring all ,
Ive been a busy bee , after waking early I decided not to waste any time , so first I popped the washer on then, got some baking done , a nice Victoria sponge for when my visitor is here , then I potted up some Fushias , that were ready to put out ,
It was quite warm at 5.30,and the weather forcast for the next week or so theres no frost .
I shall be going a walk later ,not sure where yet .
Have a wonderful day , and Jazzi enjoy your peaceful break away .
Good morning all.
I just don’t know what I am going to do today. So as always I shall just let it happen.
I can’t make out what the weather is going to do. It was bright and warm when I went out on the morning stroll, but now it has got cloudy.
It actually rained yesterday. Not a lot, more like a shower. Was no help to the plants.
Morning everyone. It’s dull and overcast here, no rain forecast but the air feels damp. Still, as I’ve done a machine load of washing I shall hang it out and hope for the best. Had a good deal of rain yesterday, so the garden was grateful (as was Mr B who didn’t have to water the plants!)
Will be paying a visit to our son and DiL later, to see how the new little one is coming along - 3 and a half weeks now, and keeping her mummy and daddy awake most nights with colic. Shame, because these early days, that they should be enjoying so much, are just going by in a fog of exhaustion.
Morning all.
Just checked forecast. The best day, temp wise, will be Friday, when I come home! At least it looks set to be nice, and dry. Thanks.
Still packing, and decanting. Will put more into the car. Still got rubbish to put out, shower and change.
Commode has been emptied and washed, for the last time till Friday! Yaaaay! Proper, nearby, toilet, here we come. Leaving ch stat as it is.
Supper for tonight will be a ready cooked pork roast meal, for quickness. Made double yesterday so all can now go into the oven later. Knew I wouldn’t feel like starting from scratch after a long day, then unpacking.
Journey will only be about 25 minutes, to just south of Lowestoft. But a few miles between me and neighbours, lol.
Shall keep in touch, as I can tether phone to iPad.
Good morning everybody.
I’ve got a joiner coming this morning to put me a couple of shelves up and make me a proper floor for the bottom of my airing cupboard, The plumber just put some wood there with huge gaps at each side where stuff could fall through.
I’ve complained about the plumber but nobody seems interested. I’m going to try the consumer helpline today but when I tried last week I was on hold for 20 minutes and eventually gave up trying. However, I’ve been informed that it’s a free line so I shall try again & be more patient.
Might potter in the garden a bit.
Out for a meal with Ady, Paula & family tonight.
Have a good day all…
Good morning Carol and those to come yet.
Dull and cloudy here.
Will go to the Corton Boot sale in the morning.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all.
I will check the weather forecast for today, before deciding where to go. Don’t want to waste the day though. Probably Southwold.
I can hear the birds squawking, from the zoo up the road (quite loud! Wonder if a peacock) I haven’t visited that place for years. Once sponsored the farm yard animals. Loved being in with the Pygmy goats.
Good morning , its Mizzling here , but temps are going up this week , The Sweet peas are in flower which I gave away , mine will be soon …
Slug as been at my Petunias , I cannot find it !
Planted my Fushia cuttings out in pots this morning .
Ive ordered 8 bags of Bark this morning and 3 Bags of Compost . Im helping my Visitor to make over their Garden . yesterday I mowed the lawn for them and did a flower bed .
Also went on 2 walks with them , it was a nice day overall.
Have a wonderful day everyone
Good morning all.
Been and done my weekly Sainsbury’s shop. I also bought a small fan heater for my lounge. It faces north and does get cold in the evenings. Saves putting on the Central heating.
For those that need to know. Sainsbury’s cafe closed down a couple of weeks ago. But I have been informed by someone that knows, it has been offered for franchise, so it could be opened again in the near future as a cafe.
Weather here is overcast and rain is forecast so they say.
Yes saw that Emjay. Such a shame for all staff.
Decided against going out. Walked Holly alongside the vast beach. Cold wind.
Back at caravan I left her to go to the shop. Bought bottled water for my hot drinks. Cooked a couple of petit pains for lunch.
Finished library book, now sitting on chair in doorway, in the sun and will look for something on Kindle. Nice.
PS. Apart from gardening, stopped now…it is peaceful!
Good morning everybody.
I’m off to the pictures today with my friend Chris to see the new Downton Abbey film.
We’re going to the 1.00pm showing so we take sandwiches & a flask of coffee. I love having a picnic in the pictures. I’ve heard the film is good from a friend who’s already seen it.
I love our local Odeon at Derby. It had these huge leather reclining seats and a swing out table.
Tony will be out with Ady all afternoon. I don’t know where they’ll be going. Ady likes to surprise him.
Have a good day all…
Good morning all.
Just back from the usual stroll with Minnie around the fields. Very overcast but not too cold. Again rain is expected and it looks like there was a drop or two in the night.
Already got a bread making, and I am trying to search for some ebooks by Stephen Leather. There are loads on Amazon but they are more expensive than the tree versions that are on eBay.
Morning everyone. The day’s started much better than the last couple of days, with nice blue sky and fluffy clouds.
We’re off up to IKEA today to pick up the last remaining bits for our daughter’s furniture, that weren’t in stock last time. Just three door inserts for Kallax, so nothing too heavy to get in the car.
@carol enjoy the film. It’s one I want to see at some point, as does my daughter, so we’ll have to get Mr B up to hers to babysit one evening!
Morning all.
Enjoy yr cinema time, Carol.
Emjay, I have read most of SL, apart from poss all his earlier ones.
Overcast here, and a chilly wind (opened bathroom window). Holly got me out at 5, both toilets. It was light out, at least. I had a small cup of decaf coffee and dozed off again. Alarm set for 8 but woke up about 7.45.
Will drop her off to groomer for 11, in to Morrisons, a bit of lunch, then pop home with her for an hour or two. One or two bits to collect or do. Unless I remember cash back I need my bank card reader to pay for groom, IF she isn’t already on my account as a payee. Her card machine is broken.
