Morning chit chatters, itās another gorgeous day, as it has been for some days now. But oddly, I keep feeling cold. Mr B thinks I must be sickening for something. We shall see.
Well, as some of you will know from my thread about her, my lovely sister died on Tuesday. I donāt think Iāve really taken it in yet, I feel kind of numb. Itās just so hard to believe that I will never talk to her again, never see her face, nor see her name pop on WhatsApp notifications. There will be some difficult days ahead - her birthday in June, my birthday with no card from her, watching Strictly later in the year (we always chatted about it during and after each episode).
My daughter took her little girl to Looe yesterday by train to spend the day with a friend who lives there. They ended up on the beach most of the day, turned out so much warmer than sheād anticipated, and poor little 6 year old got rather badly sunburned. Daughter was mortified and couldnāt stop apologising to her when they got home. Lesson learned: never, ever go out on a sunny day without sun protection!

I might put the dog in the car and go off to the park by the Broads for an hour or so. Get the bird food from the shed and feed the ducks and swans (yes, I will tie Holly up at a safe distance, to a bench.)
If I can keep her outside the tiny tea bar I might get myself a latte, and walk her round the park, looking at the view.

After two days pottering in the garden weāre giving it a rest today. Iām covered in ant bites and scratches from rose thorns.
Today I want to go to Aldi for a big shop & maybe a walk round the local pond this afternoon.

Thatās it then. Summer is over. I did not realise how cold it was out this morning when I went with Minnie for our stroll. Very overcast, and me thinks it could rain.
Job for this morning is I have to go to my daughters, as a parcel has been left in her porch, so I have to put it in the house.
Donāt know what else I shall be doing.
Morning everyone, the temperatureās dropped somewhat today, but it still looks bright, and itās forecast to be warmer over the weekend.
I have really, really got to get on with some of my sewing projects today. Yesterday I went to my favourite fabric shop - all I wanted was a small piece of spotty brown fabric to use as the centre of a sunflower applique, and half a metre of another one to make some matching ānappy coverā knickers for a little dress I made my new granddaughter. I came out with 5 lengths of other fabric as well 
. Iām pretty sure my fabric stash will outlive meā¦

Actually, yes, it is quite chilly today, so no park for us. I was cold on the walk but still had my heavy coat on. Madam is back out the garden, which means leaving the back door slightly ajar, letting cold air in.
I have put my chicken drumsticks in a bag with bbq marinade, might make another cuppa, and prep some veg for roasting. Then will decide what else to do in the house.
Waiting for kids to go back to school next week before going out again. Yesterday the traffic was a bit heavy.

Morning everyone. Well only yesterday the forecast was for a lovely sunny weekend, and now itās dull, overcast and looks likely to rain 
Off out soon to take granddaughter to her swimming lesson, then back home for a bit before we all (Mr B, daughter, granddaughter and I) go to IKEA to choose furniture for daughter - this was promised for her birthday over a month ago, but she had to sell old furniture first so itās been delayed. Then granddaughter is having her promised sleepover tonight - last chance before going back to school on Monday.

Son supposed to be coming here some time today. He wants to try out his new toy which he canāt do in his flat.

Will try and do more in the spare bedroom, disposing of unwanted cardboard boxes, see if there is room in the black bin for rubbish.
A roast meal to cook for lunch time.
Dog walks. And I should be constructing a short story for Tuesdayās writing group meeting.
Yesterday was a āDOH!ā moment, when I checked over the stake solar lights Iād put in my front garden. Realised that of course they would have an on/off switch somewhere, otherwise they would stay lit while in the shops. You need to somehow unscrew the cap and the switch is located underneath. Glad to see they then illuminated yesterday when it got dark. I had bought three pot plants for my front bit (canāt call it a garden), and have four of these lights, inserted into the pot soil. Two red cordylines, and an acer.
I want to find some more solar lights, free standing ones, to dot on the ground.

Been out with Minnie, and weather looks good. Cloudless blue sky and a warm sun.
I could sit out in the garden with the book I am reading. Itās a tree book (paperback). One of a series that my son-in-law got me hooked on. I bought a few off eBay used, then I found that I can get them for the kindle at a fraction of the price for the tree version.

A nice change for me today. Iām off to the theatre with my friend Jean. Sheās a fan of ābig band soundsā Glenn Miller etc. It will be a change for me as I usually go for rock n roll shows.
I would never go & leave Tony on his own so I asked daughter Karen if sheād pop in to see him but sheās going one better than that - sheās taking him back to her house for Sunday lunch.
