@MrFraggle67 This was a Chit chat thread and still is , saying good morning before filling in on plans a head.
The Good morning with Date on was just for good morning , I seem to remember on the old form it was kept for just that , but on here its become a chat thread too , so thats how we now have 2.
This Chit chat can be added to all day. …Well thats my understanding
.Good morning all .
A cooler day here , think i may be having a rest day .
Enjoy your day everyone
Daughter has gone on holiday…I am required to go and feed the cat…no problem and empty the cat tray…that is the problem! Cats are cute right? So why can’t the poo cute? Smelly buggers.
Well my nephew FaceTimed and I was able to talk to my sister - she was asleep at first, or appeared to be, but when she heard my voice she stirred and opened her eyes slightly. She’s totally unable to talk, but my nephew’s wife was asking her to squeeze her hand if she could see/hear me, and she did. I could tell she knew I was there, by her reactions and very slight changes in facial expression. I played her one of her favourite pieces of music - Nimrod, from the Enigma Variations by Elgar. and held the phone to the speaker. She was visibly moved so I’m glad I did that.
Jazzi please see your sister as much as you can. Please try to bury any past issues between you. I know it sounds trite and a bit corny, but the truth really is that one day it may be too late. Please don’t be left with regrets.
@carol please wish Tony a very happy birthday - enjoy your meal out tonight if that’s what you decide.
We had a lovely visit this afternoon from our granddaughter Taylor & her boyfriend Ben to wish Tony Happy Birthday & bring him chocolate goodies.
As Tony’s visitors had been in the morning we went a nice walk with Taylor & Ben - about three miles in all & sat outside an old thatched roof pub for a drink. Tony used the mobility scooter as he is suffering from gout.
It was a nice ending to his birthday celebrations. He doesn’t want to go out for a meal so a nice quiet evening in is planned.
Pictured - Taylor & Ben giving Tony some chocolate goodies.
Susie, is that the one near you? I considered Kessingland (Sunday’s) but it is a 7.30am start. I believe the Corton one starts later in the morning. Can you please check dogs are allowed (or see if you notice any about). Ta.
Very, very tired with only about 2 hours sleep. I’d best not try driving today. After coffee meet up, and then midday dog walk, I am going back to bed. I am still suffering with my headache.
Morning all, all calm here but rain expected.
Hope those ill among us feel better soon .
I have to go to PO to return the Boots .Then the day is mine to please myself …
Have a good day everyone
Good morning all.
Just back from Sainsbury’s for my weekly shop. Spent more than I needed to.
This afternoon I have a hospital appointment to see the specialist about my knees. I have decided that I will not have the replacements just yet, but try and get more injections.
People that I have spoken to locally and on line it’s a 50/50 that say the replacements you have to be lucky that they work.
A man goes to the off licence on his push bike for a bottle of whisky. He put the whisky in the bicycle basket and started to ride home. Then he thought if he fell over the bottle may get broken,so he drank all the whisky. Lucky he did he fell off 5 times afterwards.
Will use the car for the first time in 16 days and get some unwanted stuff to a charity shop in town. I can also visit the library whilst there (several books to return). Then I will go on to Morrisons for a few bits.
Decided car boots start too early for me to do one, so charity shop donations it is.
Good morning all.
Bright and sunny here at the moment, but will it last?
Yes saw the specialist yesterday and he has put me down to have the injections. That is in both knees. I don’t know when it will be but normally it is quite soon.
Nothing yet planned for today, so I shall just let it happen. I don’t need to go out for anything, except later this afternoon I will take Minnie out for a stroll around the streets.
Good morning everybody.
I’m pleased to say Tony’s gout is going at last so we’ll be able to get some stuff done in the garden.
I want to repot two Cordylines into really big pots so they will grow enormous.
The lawn needs mowing - Tony will do that while I do the edging with my Bosch electric edger - it’s a brilliant little machine.
I think that will probably be it for the day but I will be pleased if we get it done.
Good morning all.
Looks like another fine day here.
Been out with Minnie as usual. She was in a very playful mood this morning. Running around in circles wanting for me to chase her. No way.
My daughter is at the present time at the airport (Gatwick) and her flight is now at 1130 am.
Just got to prepare the makings for my chicken soup . Also will absorb some more vitamin D in the garden.
get a bad cold which started yesterday. Got no idea how as I have not been anywhere. The only place I can think of is at the opticians about 3 days ago or going there down the high street.
