What a difference the weather is here compared to yesterday. Cloudy, cold. And I dressed in summer clothes this morning.
It seems to be much quieter out. As usual done my first Minnie walk. I expect that there will be cricket 
on the field this weekend. As the pitches have been got ready.
Plans for today?? Just let it happen.

Later this morning I will take the bus to Tesco, with my sholley. Need a few bits, like bread, milk and veg. I do believe all shops are closed tomorrow, being Easter Sunday, and I canāt wait till Monday.
Still keeping to my vow of not using the car so much (which I said I would do upon returning from London/Essex), and in fact I havenāt driven it for 12 days now. Whenever Iāve needed anything I bus to Tesco or into town. Part of the reason is the fuel shortage/cost but also because I was forever going into the sort of shops where Iād just spend a lot of money on rubbish, like home bargains, b&m, The Range. Iād go through my spend diary, look at all my debits and think ādo you really need do keep doing this kind of shopping? Make do with what you already have!ā
Not been out yet so donāt know what itās like, temperature wise. Iāve learned not to look out the window and gauge by looking at what other people are wearing. They can be in short sleeves and shorts and itāll still be freezing out. Gah!
The classic film Jason and the Argonauts is on Channel 4 currently. worth it just for the fight with the skeletons.
Oh not again. That was on last week and the week before.

A bungalow in another road nearby only just went on the market 3/4 of days ago and now sold. for Ā£600.000. Nice quick profit for the estate agents. Houses around here donāt stay for sale very long, the demand outstripping availability. One can ask rediculous amount and someone is willing to pay so it seems

Ah well - not to bother. Iāll probably have a nap at some point today.
Ady & Paula are taking us to a carvery lunch this afternoon which Iām looking forward to.
I may also get a bit of stuff done in the garden. Itās been so neglected since I broke my elbow.

Yes looks like another fine day here. Yesterday as I said it was cloudy earlier, but that soon cleared.
I am going to give Minnie a haircut and bath soon.
For the rest of the day I might just sit in the garden and read.

. Weāve seen her a couple of times now, sheās a little sweetheart!
@carol canāt believe youāre still having problems with your heating and plumbing, heavens what a nightmare! And thank heavens the better weather is coming in now.
@Jazzi I know exactly what you mean about spending on unnecessary stuff, I do it all the time. I have to really have a word with myself sometimes. My biggest issue is going in places like Hobbycraft - itās not just stuff for me, but I canāt resist the kidsā craft things for my granddaughter cos she really loves making things, painting and so on. I never leave that shop empty handed

Realised too late I should have backed up WhatsApp chat on old phone. Having set the new one up I am having to start again. Trying to recharge old phone, and if it gets to 100% I will connect to PC and see if I can transfer the chats and media that way. Going back and forth from old old phone to new means having to keep verifying on whichever device I want to use. A flipping nuisance.
Washing hanging outside to dry. I will put meds into plastic strips, pour a cold drink, then maybe take Holly for her midday walk.

Today marks two whole weeks since I last took the car out, in my bid to stop spending on rubbish. Yes ok, I did buy a new phone (Ā£210), but that was a necessity. And itās on visa credit, till I get more pensions paid in, then I will clear the balance. Chances are I can go a further couple of days. My bank must be wondering if Iām ill, and neighbours must be thinking the car has broken down. 
Do I miss those shops? Yeahā¦but Iāll get over it. 
I need to wait till I know what my monthly energy bills are going to be, what disposable income I will have.

Still very nice out here. I am wondering what to do today. There are a few jobs that I could do, but need to get motivated to do them.
Jan. I donāt know what phones you have, but with my iPhone and iPads they communicate with each other, and what ever I put on one it will also go onto the others. Sometimes it is good but I have to watch what I delete.
Another beautiful day here, weāve been so lucky with our Easter weekend this year.
Gosh @Jazzi I do admire your tenacity, Iām not sure Iād be able to go 2 whole weeks without the car. No I am sure I wouldnāt be able to, because Iām always up and down to my daughterās, and giving her lifts to places. Still, that doesnāt usually involve going in shops!
No real plans today, apart from waiting for my nephew to FaceTime me so I can speak to my sister in hospital. The end is very close, and Iām not sure sheāll be able to hear anything I say, but I have to hope she will.
Oh Bathā¦so sorry to hear about your sister. I will be thinking of you.
Fortunately re the car I havenāt had the need for it yet. My writing group meetings every fortnight are via zoom. I have lots of dog food, and a full freezer, which I must start emptying.
I last saw sister that two weeks ago, and she hasnāt invited me for another visit, while she works. She was visiting family yesterday, and I am unsure if she stayed over. She doesnāt work Sunday or Monday. And other days, according to her shift. I normally wait for her to remember I exist and let me know when she is free. No public transport to hers, so car it is, but only about 10 minutes away, and I can pop into Aldi afterwards.

Itās Tonyās birthday today so weāll be expecting a few visitors.
I might take him out for a meal tonight - see how we feel.
