Good morning all.
Yes it would seem that the weather is playing games. Sunny, warm, but heavy clouds seem to be heading this way.
Don’t know what I will be doing today just yet, but definitely need to get motivated to do things that need doing.
Good morning everybody.
My friend Chris is picking me up in her car this morning & we’re going a ride to the local garden centre .
They have a lovely restaurant so we’ll be having lunch there too.
Can’t stay out too long as daughter Karen is calling to see us this afternoon.
Have a good day all…
Good morning all , at some point I shall be going a walk , when my driver arrives , at the moment hes at the garage having the car checked for a knocking noise .
Weather is neither here or there at the moment , wheres the hot temps they promised this week ?
I want to get in to my summer clothes.
Yesterday at 6am I ordered a pair of Sandals, and paid extra for next day delivery , No email has arrived yet to say its despatched .
Im going somewhere nice on Friday and wanted them for that , Fingers crossed they will be here sometime before Friday .
Have a nice day …
Morning all, its the most beautiful morning, sun, blue sky and warm.
Off into Town this morning with OH by bus.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all , @susiejaeger you sound so much happier your pain must be gone , have a nice day in town .
The weather is the same with Sun and birds chirping , so different to yesterdays April Showers .
Have a good day everyone
Good morning everybody.
Routine blood tests at hospital for me today. I have them every three months because of my PMR.
Later I’ve got a young man coming to put me some shelves in my old airing cupboard where the tank used to be. It will make a useful storage cupboard.
No other plans.
Have a good day all…
Good morning all.
It is also lovely out. Very warm. I did not need to put my heating on yesterday and so far I may not put it on today.
I must go to B&Q this morning for some Sadlin, white spirit, and strimmer line.
I recently have been reading Stephen Leather paper books. Buying from eBay at about £3 each second hand. I was doing a search and found that I can get them from Amazon for my kindle at about £1 and a few pence. Way to go.
Morning all.
My house was still chilly this morning but I won’t put heating on.
Haven’t been out yet to test the weather. Only just having breakfast.
Im miffed, after paying extra for a pair of Sandal next day delivery they have arrived 2 days late , but much to my relief in time for my trip out tomorrow ,
With much excitment i opened the box to find not Sandals but a pair of Cowboy Boots , Spitting feathers here .
Who can mistake summer sandals for winter boots ?
…
I then had a Post man ask me to look after a delivery of flowers for a neighbour who is away ,
I told him no the flowers would be have died when i hand them over ,Haven’t I a cold garage or shed to put them in he asked ?
He said he would leave them outside their house , I send them back to where they came from ,
No he said, and he said they will have to take it up with who sent them if they not in good state .
I couldnt believe what I was hearing .
Blimey Eliza…words fail me.
Good morning all, Happy Eater Friday.
Off out early to do our weekly shopping then home for the rest of the day.
Have a nice day all.
TV seems awash with gameshows now I assume that even with prize money they are cheaper to make that a decent drama but what really struck me was the utter lack of general knowledge by most of the contestants and the use of the phrase “before my time” to give them an excuse for not knowing the answer.
morning all a sunny dry day here , waiting for shopping delivery then enjoying my day out , camera in hand .
Have a wonderful day , and HAPPY EASTER
Good morning all.
Yes good Friday and hopefully a good weekend for you all.
I have quite a few things that need to be done, so that should keep me busy, if I decide to do them.
First job is to strip the bed, which I have already done and in the washing machine.
I managed to get the Sadlin from B&Q at a reduced price in a sale.
Also got some strimmer nylon. Would you believe it. When I went to put it away, I fond another load hidden in the draw. I could swear that it was not there when I was looking for it.
Morning all.
Yes Emjay, that usually happens to me.
Yesterday I was in the garden, cutting down some of the over grown honeysuckle, and trying to reach the tall rose stems, but I need someone with a ladder to reach those bits. There is what is probably a pergola from the shed over to the fence, that has the roses over. There are solar light bulbs now hanging loose, and they are no good, all full of water. I can’t quite reach them.
It all looks lovely when flowering but does need taming. My shrubs are over powering that section of the garden now. Should have had them pulled up earlier.
I also looked in the shed. My bbq, which I have never used, has gone rusty, so I need to decide how to clean off the racks. I need a handy person, who isn’t afraid to walk into the shed, to pull out and get rid of all that I don’t need. In fact there is a lot of stuff that needs chucking away. Help…
Yes Mr Fraggle.
I am so glad that I have Netflix and a modified Firestick.
Good morning everybody.
Happy Easter…
I have had in my time all the streaming services and currently have Disney + as a free years subscription came with my phone but I struggle to find anything to watch. Most American series are absolute tosh. Started to watch The Strain which began quite well but just descended into absolute rubbish with the main story featuring very little in each episode of which I saw thee were 43 which is 35 episodes to many.
Modern films are pretty much the same format and are just poor.
Damn it!
Someone put a funny little quiz on the Forum, a week or two back, now I can’t find it.
It’s the one where the is a page, with a few columns, and you have to put a price to what you see, in the first column.
Example Tommy Steele, “half a sixpence” = 3 pence.
I forgot which topic it was in and can’t find it now.
morning all , I had a lovely trip out yesterday.
I shall do a little gardening , and a walk today .
Happy Easter
