I’ve had a problem with the folders on my desktop this morning & had great difficulty getting on here.
Thanks to a little help from Jazzi here I am.
Tony & I plan on having a nice walk through the woods later but first I need to get stuck into making a batch of ministrone soup which we’ll have tonight with crusty bread The rest will freeze for another time.

@Emjay , read on FB the Sainsburys cafe is closing 20 April, with a Gourmet Burger franchise opening in August. The poster said the staff don’t know what is happening but a manager of some sort said it is already decided, with the franchise already sold.
Morning folks.
I can start my sock darning later, when I sit down to watch telly, now the socks are clean and dry, and I have the materials. Should be fun.
An easy dinner, I will be using a lemon and herb Nando’s cooking bag. The same flavour I had when I was in there recently. Chicken breasts, and might do the same accompaniment, mashed spud and sweet corn.
Other than dog walks, no major plans.

It will be my first time cooking this flavour, though I did enjoy it at the restaurant. We both had a chicken quarter and it was a little dry, so kept raiding the bottle of garlic dressing. I am hoping, according to the cooking instructions, there will be some juices to pour over. Not a meal to be adding gravy to, lol.

Got some ants 
in one of my kitchen cupboards. I can’t see where they are coming from. I have taken everything out and washed it.
All the dried food stuff is in sealed containers, except for the dogs treats, and found a few in the schmackos bag.
Hate them with a passion!!

Ant free at the moment. Yesterday they seemed to be every where in the kitchen. So I washed, powdered, and sprayed every where.
I expect the window cleaner might come today sometime. He was here last week but said it was too windy to go up ladders.
Weather is not to bad out. The council guys were on the field removing the goal posts. So I assume that is the end of the football for this year.

Today I felt so liberated, although it is still the law up here in Scotland to wear a face covering on public transport and shops although for some weird reason it is OK to not wear them at weddings ETC.
Anyway although I am exempt I have tried to follow the rules which given my medical issues has been difficult. But I was really really toiling and given more and more people are no longer wearing masks etc I decided enough is enough and it was so great.
On the downside I have to start wearing my teeth again 
For the most part the GPS tracking systems work quite well and are useful if waiting on a delivery, the courier DPD is usually spot on whereas Amazon’s is pretty rubbish but the one that amuses me is Nutria/Homeward which supply me with 112 bottles of liquid food monthly. Every month at around 05:30 I get a text inviting me to see where my driver is by clicking a link, but I don’t need to do that as I know where he is he has just logged into the system in the warehouse and has at least an hour or so’s work before he can leave. 
And the system does not get any better as it normally shows him about 3 to 4 miles away even though he is outside my door.

I have an insurance surveyor coming this morning to look at my boiler fiasco.
If there’s a leak in my old decrepit underground pipes then the insurance may help me with the cost.
The plumber in the meantime has stopped contacting me. I may have to get a new plumber to finish the job off.

I have the cafe meet this morning, and supposedly writing group in the evening, but haven’t heard yet where that will be. One member has Covid so he won’t be there or be submitting any work. I love his writing, it is quite comical. Last meeting, a fortnight ago, I didn’t bother as I was far too tired, falling asleep on the sofa.

Just back from Sainsbury’s with my usual needed supplies, and a couple of naughty items. Almond slices and Bakewell slices. I can control myself and only have 1 a day. No not a whole box, just 1 slice.
Quite nice out but when I got up just before 0700, there where a few spots of rain falling from the sky.
Plans for the rest of the day???
