Good morning all, lovely and sunny here.
If it stays sunny will venture out to Sparrow’s Nest in Lowestoft, its a park with a Museum and two restaurants and a cafe.
Nice to see you are enjoying yourself Janet.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all.
Been awake since 5.30, further sleep impossible so got up about 6.15. Feel very tired, so goodness knows how long I shall stay out for today in London. Crashed into bed around 10 after friends had gone.
I bought a few food bits in Morrisons yesterday that could do me for a bit of breakfast, or an instant supper (adding hot water), so I will have a couple of small pastries and maybe a banana this morning. Meeting friend at 12, so an early lunch. Then I might bring back a sandwich from somewhere for this evening. Not sure if and when I will have breakfast here, because of its cost.
Good morning everybody.
I think Tony & I will have a walk to the next village today to pick up an Amazon click & collect. It’s a book holder I’ve ordered. I find I can’t comfortably hold a book with this broken elbow.
We might call for a drink in Tony’s favourite pub.
Have a good day all…
morning all , I had another short walk last night and I was so tired after I fell asleep at 8pm , woke at 3.30 ,
Theres been a hard frost and i took a couple of photos out in the garden .
Morning all, another lovely day is promised here. It’s so good to see sunshine, really cheers you up. And we’ve only 6 days until the clocks go forward, yay!! Spring is very nearly upon us
Glad to see you’re enjoying yourself @Jazzi - and I don’t blame you bringing food back to the hotel, I’ve done exactly that before now to keep costs down!
@carol that book holder sounds like a good idea! I hope it helps. I had a clever little table book holder once - it was a mini deckchair that I could prop my book on, and it had little bits of wood that swivelled up to hold the pages open. Perfect for reading while eating or knitting. Sadly I broke it beyond repair - it had fallen from the table unnoticed and I trod on it
Good morning all.
Babacombe model village. I went there many many years ago. Such a long time ago that I can’t remember when. I do know that I had some film of it that I took (8mm). I don’t even know where the film is.
Yes. It was a bit frosty this morning and there was a layer of thin ice on the small pond with the frog spawn in.
I have to take the frog spawn from the big pond as I believe that the fish eat the tadpoles when they hatch.
Plans for today. Going to sort out my daughters cat shortly, and might try and get some more Covid test packs. Apart from that… don’t know.
Keep well all those that are suffering ailments. Oh my knees.
Had two small Danish pastries, small coffee and tablets. I have a flask and will buy a McD coffee at London Liverpool Street, to see me going for awhile. I can always buy another one later. Much cheaper than a poncy cafe, lol!
I have now transferred the balance of funds from my old travel card to my new one, and it should be ready by the time I get down to the station. Apparently I also have £3 card deposit to come back so a good top up!
Going to be brilliant, weather wise. Off now folks. Laters!
Oh Liverpool Street! That brings back memories - in my teens I did the daily commute from Essex to Liverpool Street. I wouldn’t recognise it now, though - I know it’s changed beyond all recognition from those old days.
Morning all.
Yes Bath, I was staring in wonder at the tall buildings that have shot up.
Also Canary Wharf (somewhere in the mist and gloom) has changed so much.I did want to go there but after my lunch with the friend, didn’t have the time to go all that way.
Back to my old home today, to see some neighbours, lady from the allotment, and I will take a wander down the high street. And a bus ride for some pie and mash.
mmm pie and mash with liquor, lovely Janet, can’t remember the last time I had that, maybe 6 years ago.
Good morning all, nice and sunny here.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all, not so bright here but not so cold first thing, so no complaints.
Just a short trip to Asda this morning then a trip to the tip this afternoon, exciting day huh…
Good to hear you’re having a good break Jan, hope the weather holds for you.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning everybody.
Janet, I look forward to hearing how your day goes.
I’m feeling quite pleased. Not much longer now without heat & hot water.
I had a phone call yesterday to say my workman can come Thursday, due to some sort of hold up with another customer. I asked him to think of me if he had a cancellation & he has.
I went to the co-op with Tony yesterday for essential supplies & it was a nice walk with the shopping trolley - but oh my - their prices!!
I have had a message from the hospital about my broken elbow - they want me to ring them & arrange physio. Just a week today since I broke it. Don’t think I’m capable of exercising it yet but it is feeling better than it was a few days ago.
It’s another nice day here weather wise. Tony & I will be having a walk round the park this afternoon.
Have a good day all.
morning all, sunny here ,no plans , just going with the flow .
Have a good day .
Good morning all.
Quite late today and a bit behind with things.
Been to Sainsbury’s for my weekly shop. Being a bit naughty buying apple pies and hot cross buns. Still I can control it with a bit of willpower, just one a day.
I don’t know about ET going home, but it seems that Jan can’t keep away from her old haunts.
Nothing else planed for today but as usual I shall just let it happen. As the sun is out and it does feel warm, (not even put the heating on) I might go sit in the garden with my kindle,
That I can’t Emjay, lol. Wasn’t impressed with the high street, but have no further plans to visit again in a hurry.
No pie n mash, as the shop I intended going to wasn’t open. I will have to beg my neighbour back in Lowestoft to make me a meal.
Morning all.
I know Manzes down the high street is permanently closed, but there is an independent pie n mash shop near my childhood home. He was supposed to be open, but wasn’t.
Picking brother and SiL up about 11,30-11,45, and we will make our way to the Toby carvery to meet up with my older sister. Afterwards, she will go home, then bro and SiL can come with me to the cemetery near their home. I wanted to leave some flowers for mum and dad (his birthday Friday) and bro just wanted to leave something for our mum and sil’s mum. Today could be my only opportunity and I have nothing else planned after our meal.
Good morning all. Quite early this morning.
Woke up at 5 with belly ache and a quick visit to the toilet.
I could not get back to sleep so got up.
Done my morning chores such as, breakfast, Minnie out.
Got an appointment for my next booster jab (4th one) at a local chemist at 10:05 this morning.
I think I sat out too long in the sun yesterday. Felt a bit giddy after.
Good morning all , a little grey outside , hoping it will brighten up later.
I will be going a walk this evening ,not sure where .
Have a good day
Morning everyone, thick with fog here earlier but clearing a little now and the sun is trying to break through.
No plans for the day other than cooking macaroni cheese for lunch.
Have a pleasant day folks
Good morning everybody.
Today I will be preparing for the boiler man coming tomorrow - clearing the room out etc. I’m not looking forward to the upheaval, especially with Tony as he won’t be able to lie down on his settee. I’ve asked Ady to take him out for a few hours.
My elbow is feeling a bit better. I can actually hold a cup in my hand. To say I only broke it a week yesterday I’m healing well for old bones.
Have a good day all…
