The man from E-on was who came to look at my property when I applied for a grant.
He told me I wasn’t entitled to the grant because it didn’t cover the work that needed to be done…
I am now paying for it myself & it was a heating engineer who quoted me £3,500
morning all , @Carol I had a new Boiler 2 year ago and it cost me over £3k so the price is about right
I did my research and went with a German Boiler Viessmann 100 ,it had been Which winner 2 years running .
I have no plans for today.

That’s very true Carol, in fact I didn’t know that you could replace back boilers these days, are they recommending re- siting the boiler elsewhere?
They don’t do back boilers anymore.
They are removing the back boiler & putting us a new combi boiler upstairs in what was the airing cupboard. They will of course remove the hot water tank from the airing cupboard as no longer needed…
Then it is a big job Carol, and I’m not surprised at the cost!

I’ve been in agony all night with my arm. I fell down yesterday on the garden path. Just waiting now for Ady to take me to A&E.
Can’t use right arm at all. It was fun ( not) this morning Tony dressing me. He did well though bless him.

I trust a bone density test has been done, or is scheduled?
If not then you will make sure they do one won’t you?
that sounds painful Carol,are they putting it in plaster or have they done that ?
My elbow fracture was never plastered. Just wore a sling. Couldn’t work as I couldn’t type.
