Sorry to hear that Jan, he sounds pretty uncouth as you say but let’s just hope first impressions are deceiving. Like they say though you can choose your friends, but unfortunately not your family… or your neighbours!
Anyway, let’s just hope it works out better than it bodes.
She’s doing OK Jan thanks, and just heard that the consultant will see her in the next couple of weeks to discuss any further treatment, so all looking good at the moment. She has gone back home now and is making hubby isolate upstairs until Monday, at which time he will be released if all of his lateral flow tests keep coming up negative.
Good morning all. It has been raining during the night.
Barry I always cook my Apples first then freeze them.
Janet let’s hope your new Tenants are friendly and not so noisey, go and get the Trellis up. Got a whole chicken in the oven. Have changed the sheets this morning and washing is on.
Have a nice day all.
Looks like the sun is trying to break through, so hopefully be a nice day later.
Just a few jobs on my list if I feel like doing them, but no pressure so I may not bother oh, apart from making mince pies that is… lol
Susie, I also grow and pick rhubarb, gooseberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries from the garden and freeze them all without cooking first, I find it gives me more flexibility when I thaw them as to how I will incorporate them into a recipe, as I sometimes want to retain some texture in the fruit. Works for me anyway…
Good morning all. Late again but that should be expected when I have my friend staying. I shall be taking her home later after dinner.
Lamb shanks for dinner, lunch, or midday meal, call it what you may.
Oh no Jan not more problem neighbours. They seem to follow you wherever you go.
So Barry, it seems the cook first then freeze wins by a majority.
Janet, is the Gezebo there to stay, being its only a rented property?
And I would have thought that its illegal to have something higher then 6 ft.
I would speak to your Local Council and ask them to come down and look at it.
Good morning all, its very cold outside like Winter.
Will be going to Aldi this morning to do our weekly shopping with Hubby, I will be holding the Trolley to keep me upright.
Have a nice day all.
Good morning all.
The weather here can’t seem to make up its mind. A bit of sun then heavy clouds.
I have not really made any plans yet, so I shall just let it happen.
Susie, it would seem a permanent feature. They have also installed the WM in the shed (well it sounds quite close enough to be) so more permanent fixture.
And as for the tree/greenery he chopped down. That has been chucked in the alley, some of which was alongside my fence. I soon moved that! Still part of the trunk (albeit a small size) remaining but the rest is under the heavy pile and I can’t move it. It is now partially blocking the alley, which I hope he gets into trouble for. No vehicles can get up there now.
Bloke several doors along (B) is unimpressed with them. He witnessed the van driver, who had blocked the road on Saturday, telling other drivers to eff off. I still can’t believe these people were the best of the bunch who viewed. Find it hard to believe. And B has seen the mess in the alley.
I will go to the library soon, when my phone is charged sufficiently, as I need it for the parking app. I finished yet another book this morning (went through 4 this weekend! A whole 3, and half of another.)
Susie, the problem with that gazebo is it’s a small garden and it looks out of place, as it can clearly be seen by anyone in the alley. I want a sun shelter at some point, but one that can be folded and put away. They definitely removed the tree and whatever beds were out there with the sole purpose of making room for it.
Good morning all, the sun is out, hope to sit outside today and read.
Easy dinner today Scampi & Chips done in my Deep Fat Fryer and Mushy peas.
Nothing planned for the day.
Have a nice day all.
Next door left their blue bin ready for collection with the lid propped up by a load of stuff, which enabled seagulls to root around inside, throwing it all on the ground. Lid now fully open. Hope the guy clears up the mess, because bin men won’t. They have also now installed a bright light out in the garden.
Holly is with her carer tomorrow, giving me a day free, so today I will pay the lady online (she recently gave me her bank details), and I will check bus times. Might catch a bus to Southwold and be a tourist. The other places for me to visit can wait till my birthday weekend (Norwich, Cromer). I have booked her 9-5.
