Good morning all.
Not a lot going on here at the moment.
I am still self testing and showing negative. Son is now self isolating at his home. Says it is boring.
Just going to peel and cook more apples, then freeze them. I think I might need a bigger freezer.
Weather. Not too bad. Cloudy and warm.
Barry, hope your D is ok. I wish her well.
Thanks Jan we are just waiting for a phone call but she is probably waiting for the ward rounds before she can be discharged. She rang earlier and seemed in reasonable spirits but she was still enjoying the effects of the morphine I guess, but might be on a downer by nowā¦
Anyway the op is over so hopefully sheās on the up and up from here onā¦
I bet sheāll be glad to get home Barry, Iām new here but my good wishes to her.
I was going to meet my nephew - also called Barry and his wife for coffee today but had to cancel. The chap came to service my scooter but decided heād better take it away. I had new brakes just before Covid but they havenāt been right since. Because of Covid, I put off doing anything about it. Until now. Now my fingers are crossed.
Glad you Daughter is coming Home Barry.
The sun has just come out.
Good morning all, its dully and a bit chilly here this morning, hopefully it will be better this afternoon.
Will be at the Chiropractic by 9am this morning for my back, then Hospital appointment at 1pm for MRI Scan on my back.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all.
Good luck Susie.
Barry, I hope your D came home from the hospital and is now recovering at home. Does she have anyone to care for/keep an eye on her?
Probably a trip to the library for me, as I have a reserved book ready for collection. Might have one/two to return.
Been taking it easy having had 9 solid days of running about, so spent most of yesterday with my nose in a book, apart from dog walks,
Morning ladies, morning everyone, overcast here but very mild. Just got back from walking the dogs and having a brew and five minutes on here.
Yes thanks Jan, picked her up from the hospital yesterday morning and she has come to us for a few days as her husband has been āpingedā and needs to isolate at home. I am pleased really as she is quite a dynamic person, so enforced rest here rather than trying to do everything as normal at home has to be a good thing. Not sure that she would agree with me thoughā¦
Hope everything goes well with your back problems Susie, bad backs are such a miseryā¦
Enjoy your day folks
Good morning all.
Rather late today as I woke up later than usual.
Nice out here, warm and blue sky.
Chores for today. Peel and cook more apples then bag and freeze.
My friend is coming later and might stay the weekend. That will be nice. Good thing I had a good nights sleep.
Thank you all. Chiropractic done, iām a bit sore at the moment, next Hospital app. Barry glad your Daughter is home with you resting. Have a nice day all.
Been to the Hospital for my MRI Scan, they were running late by 30 mins. The procedure took 30 mins. now got to wait for 2 weeks before getting the results.
Susie, did you cope with it ok?
Yes fine Janet, iām used to it, this is my third MRI Scan in the past, its very noisy, but I did have headphones.
Good morning all, spitting with rain here and quite a wet day forecast, so looks like being a stay in with book and film sort of day in prospect but hey, it is only Augustā¦ lol
Hope you are all well and that you have a pleasant day
Good morning Barry and those to come. Its a bit dull, I think the sun is trying to come out. Iām in a lot of pain this morning, so sending Hubby out to do some errands for me.
Have a nice day all.
Morning folks.
That sounds idyllic to me, Barry! Mind, I curl up with a book every day.
No specific plans for me today. Still got the library to do but as I have started yet another book, it can wait.
Good late morning from me. My excuse is that I have had a busy morning. Got up late for a start, friend stayed with me.
Laundry all done as usual, we also peeled about 6 pound in weight of apples, picked from my tree, cooked and waiting for it to cool, then bag up and frozen. When we have done loads more, That should last until this time next year.
Iām surprised that you cook it first Emjay, I just peel and slice then freeze 'em rawā¦
Barry, Iāve done that when scrumping over the allotment. Cooked then frozen. Takes up less room.
New neighbours started moving in yesterday. Today, well Iām speechless. Heard a lot of noise from the garden and it would appear (because I went into my back room and looked out the window) he has destroyed every bit of greenery there. There was a huge bush which towered over our fence, and as I watched could see more greenery in his hands. He had a power tool and earlier could hear noise like banging on concrete. I did hear him say to someone about āan effing rootā.
I just wonder if as tenants they are allowed to remove mature shrubs or bushes. Doubt he got landlordās permission.
And as he swigs from a soft drink can I have heard him belch loudly several times. Seems an uncouth individual. I could see a woman and a girl at times, but unsure how many coming in.
This should be interesting. I have lost my āsecludedā garden now. I might see about affixing a trellis somehow to the top of that fence, but even somebody could see from the back bedroom. Hmmmā¦
