Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

I decided to tidy up the garden, ie empty out all the potato bags. What a mess! Had to thoroughly brush Holly as she insisted on standing right underneath while compost was flying everywhere.

But before that I’d put two rugs into the WM, and steam cleaned, just out side the back door, the others, hanging on an airer. Then I used my Flash mop to go over the bathroom and hall floors, along the kitchen around rug, and on the flooring in the back room around the big rugs.

I think Holly wants to go out but I must shower first, after my coffee. I am exhausted, and still not done my baking.

Exhausted here too, family all gone now and we’ve tidied up, and luckily there was enough grub left over for a “fusion” lunch tomorrow.

A smashing day but it is so nice to be back to the peace and normality after a few busy days prep and then a day’s non stop chat, which actually I find most tiring of all. Anyway, nice to see everyone and looking forward to a cool shower and a quiet evening in to wind down.

Hope you all on here have had a good day too.

Good morning all, no sun yet.
Nothing planned this morning.
Got Pain Management Clinic this afternoon, don’t fancy them pulling me about.
Have a nice day all.

Good morning Susie and all, overcast here but the sun seems to be trying to break through so may be warm again later.

Just a quiet day on the cards here for us after a hectic weekend, just a few odd jobs to do and leftovers then for lunch.

Good luck at the clinic Susie.

Have a pleasant day folks

Morning all.

Barry, glad the day went well for you both. Have a well deserved easy day.

Susie, good luck. Remind them you are still waiting for that blasted MRI.

Managed to make my tarts. Not a great success with the jam ones, as I’d put too much in (the tarts were very small) and it bubbled up onto the tray - fortunately cleaned up ok. But they were delicious and I had two of each straight from the oven with a cuppa, as lunch’s dessert. Made six jam, and six tomato and cheese, think next time the latter could do with a tiny sprinkle of salt.

An easy day for me. Just a trip to the library but now am unsure if just to get 30m free parking, or pay £1.50 for 2, as I want to browse. I know which author I am looking for, so might get away with the free time. I don’t need anything else, having only gone into town last week. I have three books to return, one to collect. Oh, and need to renew some others. Best do that now.

Good morning all.
I am still having problems trying to get here. I find the best way is not to delete this thread from the menu.
Weather here is now overcast but was ok earlier.
Minnie is back to normal and was galloping around the field when we went out.
Off shortly to my friend, and expect we shall go walking with the Monday group.

Emjay, I still go on the Over50sforum and just click to get onto here.

I keep the tabs open on my browser. Whether on laptop, or iPad.

Good morning all, a little bit cooler this morning.
Nothing planned for me except cooking a Chicken Curry and Rice.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all, just a quick note to say hello as our internet keeps dropping out. We had a new router delivered yesterday, and I spent most of the day on the phone with our ISP trying go get the thing to work before they decided it must be faulty and they’d send another one out!

However, it seems to be back on for a few minutes now so must check my emails before it disappears again. :rage:

Have a good day folks

Morning Susie, and all to follow.

Yes, it is cooler. I am now sitting by the bedroom window, turned shutters to give me a little light, and can feel a cool breeze on me. Just had a decaf coffee and first tablets, and might try and get a bit more sleep. Terrible insomnia and still bad headache.

Vet check up for Holly at 12.30. No other plans. Sleep, maybe. Lol.

Enjoy your day.

Good morning all.
Easy to get on here now as I received a notification in my mail from Susie’s post.
Raining here now but have already been to Sainsbury’s for my weekly shop. Oh joy. They had mrs Elmwoods sliced pickled cucumbers back. Got 3 jars of it.
Bread being made as I type. This is for my friend whom is coming here shortly. I think she only loves me for my bread.

Oh Emjay, my favourite Gherkins Mrs. Elmswoods, nice and sweet (Jewish).

Good morning, the sun is trying to come out.
Hoping to sit in the garden at some point today.
Nothing planned as usual.
Have a nice day all.

Morning everyone, a little gloomy here but may brighten up later I hope.

No plans for the day other than cooking a tagine for lunch and maybe some pottering in the garden.

Hope your pain is continuing to ease Susie.

Emjay, I don’t think I have ever eaten a gherkin, I must put that right one of these days.

Have a pleasant day folks

Good morning all.
They are not gherkins but sweet cucumbers.
Trust you are all as well as can be.
It is not yet raining here but the sky looks iffy.
Just picked another load of apples that will be stewed later and frozen in separate bags.
Although he has had his jabs, but my son has the plaque. He was here last Friday so a bit of a panic mode. I have self tested and showing negative.
Off shortly to my friends.

Morning all.

Gherkins sound rather vile to me. As I don’t like cues I’m not likely to try one. Bleugh!

Weather looking iffy here now, after early sunshine.

10, Holly will be at lady day carer at end of my road, till 4. I will change bed linen and then shower, and set off to be at the nearby cafe for 11, our regular coffee/meet up. Not sure how many will turn up today.

Afterwards, I plan on going somewhere nice for lunch. Fancy a carvery and might go to the one overlooking the Broads. So relaxing just looking out to the water, boats and birds. I have extended an open invitation to those people at the coffee meet up but no takers so far. Fine, I’ll take a magazine or book with me. Never bothers me eating out alone.

Depending on time left over, will see where to go next, or what needs doing. Collecting H at 4.

Emjay, hope your son will be ok.

Enjoy your day.

Good morning all, not very pleasant outside, its cold, dull and miserable.
Nothing planned for the day.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all. Yes agree Susie, not very nice out. I’m feeling cold indoors.

Nothing planned, after a hectic full on 9 days of appts, shopping, chores, and social gatherings,:rofl:

Morning both, cool here too but dry anyway, so not all bad.

Nothing major on my agenda, just have to collect our daughter later from hospital and take her home. Maybe an hour in the garden later if it brightens up.

Have a good day folks
