Good morning all, looks like its going to be a nice day.
Nothing planned.
Have a nice day all.
Got the Bricklayer coming at 7.30am if he turns up.
Morning. Hope he does turn up, Susie.
Got my coffee morning/meet up at the local cafe. Wonât do it twice a week now, but stretching out the time in between each one.
Got a horrible headache I canât get rid of. Went to bed with it, woke up with it. HmmmâŠ
Could be stress Janet.
So far he has not turned up. I donât know whatâs wrong with the people out here, they promise to come and donât turn up, or you have to wait months before they do.
Susie, I wondered that. Worrying about Holly.
Oh, that is so annoying!
Morning ladies, looks like youâve both got problems this morning, hope they resolve before longâŠ
By the way Susie I was a bricklayer and always turned up when I said I would, us builders are not all the same even though we get a bad press so have faith, youâll find a decent one some day. The best way of course is by personal recommendation if possible but I understand that isnât always easy. Try posting on a local facebook pages asking for decent referrals, one of our sons who is a painter and decorator gets most of his work from there, he just keeps getting passed on now from client to clientâŠ
Busy here today as we have family over tomorrow, so lots to do.
Have a pleasant day everyone
Still not here and its 9.34am.
Its now 12.05pm and he has not turned up, this is the second time now, so I will have to look for someone else. So very annoying.
I know what you mean Susie, what price a phone call at least.
So annoying Susie, and a waste of everyoneâs time, not least yours! Did you call him at all?
Barry, hope the family get together tomorrow is enjoyable for you all.
Back from the cafe. Only one lady turned up but Iâd met her recently. We chatted for about 1.5 hrs, had second drinks (my bladder must be sloshing right now), and exchanged phone numbers.
Holly has had her last dose of pain relief and seems pretty much back to normal. Enjoyed a ball play earlier, and is back barking at goodness knows what.
I will stay at home for about an hour (will need the bathroom no doubt), do a bit of lunch, then take her for her second walk, which is normally the longest one of the day.
Thanks Jan, it is hard work so we only do it once a year now around the time of my Mumâs birthday (92 next), and itâs a pleasure to see them all together. We used to do it at Christmas too, so often this is the only time, once a year, when they get to meet one another so they all enjoy it as well.
@Jazzi Jazzie peas are also in some of the commercial food I feed Chloe, the research is new and also in the British press.
I hope Holly is improving after her visit to the vet. The good thing about dogs is unlike humans they are not aware of their operations so donât dwell on them and bounce back quickly.
Evening all.
I still had problems getting here. It still did not recognise my new password,
The news so far.
Minnie had not been well for the last few days. Had an upset tummy but seems better now.
I have doing loads of cooking. The apples on my tree are ready for picking as was my rhubarb. So made a super apple and rhubarb crumble. That was after we (my friend and I) had a home made shepherds pie.
I did make her do the washing up after.
Hi Emjay, glad Minnie is better now.
Holly is back to normal, thankfully. Yes Meg, she wonât remember any of it. Doesnât even know what she went in for, unless she feels the improvement in her now clean mouth.
Hi all a reformed old timer - still not sure about the new site - yes it is bright, smart and feels it has a spring in its air!! but I suppose like old slippers the old was familiar and comforting. You may have said already meg and I missed it but what dya fink? ah I see it is 1.30 am in uk - but there may still be a few insomniacs around? haha - we will all eventually get used to things - what did george harrison once sing [bless his soul] all things must pass?? greetings from the antipodeas !!
Morning gumbud, and all to follow. Yes, it does take some getting used to. I preferred the colour of the old site, and its ease of use. But, we are here now and have to like or lump it!
Still got my headache. No idea what is causing it.
Sitting by my bedroom window, with my first coffee and tablets, waiting for the sun to rise over the rooftops opposite. Right now, it looks like a nice day. Letâs hope so.
Good morning all, nice and sunny here.
Nothing planned as usual.
You are up early today Janet.
Glad Minnie is feeling better.
Glad Holly is back to normal.
Have a nice day all.
Hi Susie, this is a normal time for me. Usually kid next door has woken me up long before now, but have not heard him this morning. Lol.
Morning peeps, a little late today as we are preparing for family arriving for lunch, so Iâve dragged all of our spare chairs and garden furniture out and cleaned it, pumped up the paddling pool and erected the tent for the grandchildren and helped prepare the feast. Just having a brew now before doing a bit of final preparation, just hope the weather holdsâŠ
Have a pleasant day everyone
Good morning from me to all.
Sunday and I feel lazy. But I will do things when I can get activated.
I have already been and picked up the âwindfallâ apples and put them in the compost bin. I canât use them as they fall on paving and they get bruised.
My grandson popped in yesterday afternoon for a while, and got him to take my friend home, as it is on the way to his home.
Thinking what to make for lunch/dinner or call it midday meal. For desert I still have some cooked rhubarb and apples, so shall make another crumble.
