Me too Jan, just a direct debit now, easy peasy
 :+1:

I did think it was stuck , but he moved it to the other side of mouth before dropping it .

Crikey, didn’t think of that. That could have caused him some problems if it was :slightly_smiling_face:

I would have normally done it online, but I had some old ÂŁ50 notes that I needed to get rid off.

morning all, my plan for today is plant the Viburnam that arrived yesterday, and scatter some more poppy seeds . Its bin day today ,so when thats emptied I shall start to fill it up again , which means a trip into the Loft.
Have a good day

Morning all, its raining outside.
Nothing planned for the day.
Nurse coming this morning to change my dressing that’s all.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Yes, bin day for me too, so thanks for the reminder (I keep forgetting! :astonished:). Black bin, too. Wouldn’t be such a crisis if the blue one.

Off out this evening to the writing group.

Good morning all.
Also raining here but not so bad. Just back from the walk with Minnie.
Going to Sainsbury’s very soon for the weekly shop.
After that
 Shall just let it happen.

Bin out in alley, breakfast finished, just need to brave the rain to walk Holly.

Writing group this evening, venue as last time, a different house, and I can attend by zoom again. Yes please!!

A late good day from me, I’ve been baking bread and cooking tagine this morning, and now lunch is over I’ll be having an hour in the garden, time to start planting!

Hope everyone is OK, hopefully catch up again later

This looks like a Butterfly to me , just settled in my garden ,What do you think?

Is a tortoise shell. It’s a bit early for those I would have thought. Must be warmer where you live. :grinning:

Earlier I sat in the front room trying to finish my library book, to the accompaniment of next door’s music, going boom boom boom. Sounded very repetitive.

A longer dog walk, as the rain had stopped, then I put a portion of fish pie in the oven, and cooked some veg. I had halved the fish pie from a few weeks ago, as it seemed plenty.

This evening I can have cheese and biscuits, or toast, for my tablets, before doing the zoom meeting.

Not sure whether to start another book this afternoon, or wait until after the meeting and I am tucked up in bed. Don’t you just love living alone, and being retired?

Emjay, looks like Sainsburys at Chingford will lose its cafe! It is not listed among those that will stay (the supermarket has chosen to close many in store cafes).

You’re correct, Chillie. :+1:

I saw one settle in a sun patch on my fence a couple of weeks ago.
I have also seen a huge Queen bee that sounded like a helicopter coming over - and then a few days ago, a smaller bee on my front window ledge.
Lovely to see these early signs of better things to come, isn’t it.

Sign of spring arriving. Good sign to see those things early. Let’s hope the weather doesn’t change and we get a cold snap.
Haven’t seen much in the way of insect life yet. But my pond is full of frogs and spawn :+1:

How lovely. I used to love watching the spawn gradually changing from ‘full stops’ to 'comma’s, then the little tadpoles gradually growing tiny legs as their tails got shorter.
Haven’t seen any for years now.

They used to come back every year to my Mum’s pond, but when she died the new family filled the pond in. I remember worrying what would happen to the frogs who made the journey there next breeding season, only to find their hotel had closed. So sad.

They would probably find new digs. :grinning:
I had loads of froglets last year all over the garden.

Not all come back so they must find their own space/pond :grinning:
