It’s cold here, but a lovely bright sunny day. We’re off to Looe later on with our daughter and granddaughter. I think we’re all going to have to wrap up, especially the 6 year old, as she already has a heavy cold. The fresh sea air should do her good though.
Morning chatters! Talking of laundry @Emjay I discovered my washing machine is Wi-Fi enabled yesterday! I can use an app to switch it on when I’m not in the house Its not something I would use, but I wonder where the world is going when folk are too busy to do their washing while inside the house?!
I suppose it would be handy for people working full time, who don’t want to turn the machine on in the morning and then have the washing sitting at the end of the cycle getting all creased. Then again, mine has a timer for that kind of situation, so I do think wi-fi is a bit extreme. My son has an Alexa enabled kettle, so as long as there’s water in it, he just calls out ‘Alexa turn the kettle on’. If there’s not enough water she tells him
Yes I can see how it would be handy, Sheba, if you could switch it on so its done for when you get home from work. But I agree - timers do the same thing (more or less).
I laughed at the Alexa kettle! There are so many funny little gadgets…if I had the money I might indulge just for a laugh, but I do think the novelty would wear off after a week.
I’m pretty sure that’s why he bought it, just because it makes people laugh. He’s had it for probably a couple of years now, and I haven’t heard him give it commands for a long time. He just goes over and switches it on
I have an automatic type kettle. It’s not an Alexa, it’s called a ‘Malcolm’ I tell it to put the kettle on and it does. It also can work the washing machine and dryer, works the vacuum cleaner, does the washing up. Also can work the sewing machine. Plus many other chores that these Alexa things can’t do.
morning all , the forcast for here is Sun all day ,I will get a Vistor today and we shall no doubt go a walk .We had talked of going to the Beach ,but E dosent travel well .
Have a good day everyone .
Good morning all.
Yes bright and sunny here as well. There is still some frost on the grass where it is in the shadows of the sun.
Plans of the day? Well I shall have a chicken and veg lunch or dinner, whatever you like to call my 1 o’clock mealy.
As mentioned yesterday, my daughter and I went out to the pub and I had poached salmon with mixed peppers, fries and onion rings. Also a large diet coke without ice. Loverly.
Morning chit chatters, it’s looking lovely outside my window this morning. Still chilly, but I’d rather it cold and bright than mild and raining.
Nothing out of the ordinary on the agenda today. Got some sewing I really must get on with, then this evening our granddaughter will be here as she is having a sleepover tonight.
Afternoon all. Bright and breezy down my end today. Got a bit of garden clearing to crack on with. Think I’ll need a jacket. It’s a bit brrrr out there. Enjoy the rest of the day.
It definitely is brrrr out there. Second dog walk done while roasties in the oven, and felt the cold. Have to put my hood up. Was pleased to find dog can and will do her business out the back garden (the tiny court yard of a thing), means I can clear it in my own time. She had worried me for several days that nothing was done out on walks. But yay! In the garden. Means I can chuck her out there when I don’t fancy a walk, but when it’s ‘time’. Little things, eh?
Finished my roast meal so will now slob in front of the telly for an hour, till she wants feeding. Then I will do the last cuppa of the day.
Good morning all.
It is not so cold here this morning, but I can se heavy clouds in the west. The forecast is for rain later this afternoon, but I think it could be earlier.
I have to get to the post office this morning to pay my car tax. I shall go on the bus as it is very hard to find parking anywhere near there. The bus stop is almost outside the post office.
