Superdrug, who dealt with my meds previously, only delivered on Tuesday or Friday. Tuesday would clash with my coffee group meet, and invariably Friday would be too late, if my meds ran out by Wednesday. I can now use this other pharmacy closer to home, where the antibiotics were sent (when on phone to GP recently I said I’d already been into town and couldn’t face another journey out when feeling unwell, so he recommended this one.). I have found a quick way to get there, and can walk it in under 10 minutes.
Besides which, the bag wouldn’t fit through my letter box.
We’re lucky in that our surgery is about 500 metres away, with a pharmacy attached, so picking up our meds is never a problem. Well, apart from the length of time it often takes the pharmacy to locate our prescription, and then search everywhere for the actual medications that they’ve made up and misfiled somewhere
I had to sit down in the pharmacy as they thought there were only 3 items. I said, no, 9! I wouldn’t mind, but she was walking about the back with my stapled up bag for ages, but don’t know if it was the paper orders she was actually searching for. She did say something to that effect. At least Superdrug were usually quicker.
There is a surgery attached there so I am considering changing. The one I am still with is and was a short drive away (from here and the old rental). So it would make sense to transfer to them. And I saw people sitting in the waiting room (there is like a see through bit from the pharmacy into the surgery), so wonder if they actually see patients.
Oh how I hate those flipping stapled bags, grrr. They put sticky name labels on ours to close them, so why do they need the blooming staples too? I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s snagged a finger on them
Morning all, and very best wishes to Susie…
I sense camaraderie on here and no dreaded nit picking so here I am
Woke up this morning to see a big loop of the white tree lights in the front pulled down, and a sign which read PEDESTRIANS THIS WAY sitting at the top of the tree where it had been thrown.
Ho very Ho!!
Arrrg. Who’s got nits?
So talking about chemists and medications. I use and have done so for ages, the one in my local Morrison’s. (Just a short walk) They are alright I suppose, but I believe it is the surgery’s fault for whenever they get messed up. I manage to get 3 month’s supply at a time.
Last week when I went to collect them, they had added one lot that I did not need, and missed out a lot that I did.
So it was a return trip to get them reordered.
As the saying goes, Keep taking the tablets.
I think you’re probably right. At least when the order has really been messed up or missed altogether, I only have to step out of the pharmacy and go to the surgery reception to sort it out. (Where they will invariably try telling me it’s the pharmacy’s fault )
I asked him that, why was it left out of her reach. Until I talk to her myself, I won’t get the full story. She has been out of bed since, trying out the zimmer.
No way was I going out late in that weather, I let Holly out into the garden. Shall walk her shortly.
No answer from Susie’s hubby just now, so have left a message. He may have gone shopping as he mentioned the fridge was looking bare. I recommended he went out before collecting her so he doesn’t have to leave her home alone for awhile. I think it would be a bit early to be off collecting her.
Good morning all.
After the winds yesterday, this morning here is blue sky and bright sunshine.
Just back from my walk with Minnie, and shortly going to start to make my ‘chicken soup’. Carrots and onion to prepare. Then add the four chicken thighs, and a couple of stock cubes. I get two lots out of this, one for today’s lunch and the other for Saturday’s lunch.
Question. I was trying to start a thread on another section on here. I could not post it as it said I had to add ‘tags’. What are ‘tags’?
Morning everyone, sunny here, but the sky looks a bit threatening in the distance. I didn’t notice any wind last night, but this morning saw that the garden waste bin had toppled over, so it must have been blowy out there.
Poor Susie, that could have been nasty, falling over like that. Hope they’ll make sure the zimmer is within easy reach for her now.
Hi @Emjay , tags are the minor description of the thread in the box to the right of the classification boxes under the thread title.
When you start a new thread enter the thread title first then click on the classification box. Scroll through the classifications to find the one that you want and click on it.
Then click in the box to the right of the classification box and add a brief description of the thread which is the tag. As you start to type it will offer suggestions of previously used tags which you can click on if you wish, or you can type what you want. If you do that it will be copied in yellow underneath your typing and once you are happy then click on the yellow copy and it will be entered for you in the tag box.
Then just write your post as normal and click on the orange box at the bottom when you are done. Sounds complicated I know but it isn’t really, and when you’ve done it once you will be fine.
Good luck!
