Good morning all.
Wet and orrible here. Although I can now see patches of blue sky. Had to go take Minnie out in the rain. Why is it she does not care what the weather is. “I want to go out” says she.
Got a bread on the go, so now got to think of what to do for my Sunday lunch/dinner.
It had stopped raining by the time we went out.
Just cleared out the fridge, whilst looking for veggies to peel.
Morning all.
Weekly shopping day today.
Got up this morning and I have 8 new babies in my Fish tank, they are so cute and the other fish are not bothering them.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all, frosty here but bright and that wind has eased thank goodness…
Nothing much planned again, just doing a tagine for lunch and I may start off some veg seeds on the windowsill but we’ll see…
Congratulations on the new arrivals Susie, more mouths to feed then…
Have a pleasant day everyone
Good morning all.
Quite nice here today. Still a bit cold but no wind and sun shining.
Hope to go to Costco With my daughter later, don’t know when though.
Congratulations on the new babies Susie, guppies?
Morning all.
Susie, what did you get yesterday in PaH? Crikey, how can you count 8 babies? How many attempts, lol?
Not decided what to do today yet.
They were in one section together Janet.
Didn’t buy any fish in there, not a very good selection.
I have just heard a BBC Winter Olympics commentator talk of how a competitor has up his game for the 20th century.
Did a memo go out to all game show presenters that no matter how thick the contestant is they must always praise them because they must take into account their mental wellness?
Morning all.
I am in chronic pain this morning and last night in bed, so just resting today.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all.
Not long Susie.
Did a lot of running about yesterday. Dropped the laptop off to computer shop with a new battery (and when I got home hours later the one expected from abroad had miraculously arrived!), wanted the shop next door for hand wash refill, but they were closed. On to Asda, and Dunelm. I want to put a curtain up in the doorway between the back room and kitchen to contain draughts. There are two air bricks behind the wm and that makes everywhere so cold!!
When I get the call saying the laptop is ready I can do the refill as well. They do the Faith in Nature that I like, and also cheaper alternatives.
Morning everyone, mild and breezy here but quite pleasant out…
Just back from walking the dogs and grabbing a quick brew before heading into town. Rosemary has an eye test booked and then we’ll probably have a wander round for awhile.
Terribly sad to hear of your continued pain Susie, how long is it now until your op?
Have a pleasant day if you can peeps…
7 days Barry.
Good morning all.
I am just back from Sainsbury’s with the weekly shop. I had such a small list of what I needed, but it grew as I wandered around the store.
Weather here is not so cold, in fact after the rushing around, I am at the moment perspiring freely.
I went to Costco yesterday and bought more than I expected. They had the 3 boxes of Quaker-oats, @ £4.39. Big bag of salted cashews, cottage pies, and other bits. Spent £63.13.
Nothing else planed for today, so will just let it happen.
|Morning all.
Not going out this morning, sending hubby out instead.
Have a nice day all.
Good morning all.
At the moment it is bright and sunny.
When I came back from the morning stroll, I did as usual searched and picked up Minnie’s do dos in the garden.
I also started to pull up some long growth that was scattered around, and put in the ‘brown bin’. That got me going. Put on the gardening gloves, got the secateurs and cut some other bits that needed trimming.
No other plans for today yet.
Thought I would show you some of my orchids collection. Some of these are second and even third flowering.
Morning all, just.
They are beautiful, Emjay.
Been busy with my own chores this morning, including playing ball and fetch with the dog, fighting her off as I hoovered, and opening and shutting the back door a half dozen times. Now showered, sitting with a cuppa, and contemplating my next move, which might be looking for something for the main meal.
Susie, my group has three new members (on Next Door), taking me to 7. I will still promote the FB part when I can, but fear it could still get lost amongst the thousands of other suggestions on there.
I will give computer shop until tomorrow then text and ask if any progress with my laptop. Maybe, just maybe, he is testing a charge on the new battery. Let’s wait and see.
Morning folks.
Shall collect my laptop with its new battery from computer shop, and maybe pop into the refill shop next door for some hand wash. Can’t take Holly into the latter so have to leave her at home.
Then, after my nephew set up a Family Tree WhatsApp group with his friend, who has been doing some research into our family, I had been having a chat with this person and I needed some certs to back up my answers, tried finding them, but with no luck! Argh! So to ease my mind, at some point, I need to set aside a time to have a thorough search. I might need to be looking for another folder…
Good morning everyone, borderline frost here but not too bad, and a sunny day forecast they say…
We are having visitors for lunch today, we mostly have my Mum on a Thursday but then our eldest daughter invited herself as she has the day off for a hospital appt. this afternoon, then our youngest daughter decided to invite herself because eldest daughter could give her a lift, but then granddaughter heard about it and cadged a lift as well and she’ll be bringing our youngest great granddaughter with her, so all in all a bloody houseful…
Enjoy your day peeps
Good morning all.
Not got a lot to do today, but it is early and I expect things will develop that needs to be done.
I shall wander to Morrison’s to pick up a med that they missed on my list last week.
It rained here last night so the ground was wet when Minnie and I strolled around the field a while ago.
We have a neighbour WhatsApp group here and yesterday evening I got a call to go give a jumpstart to a neighbours car. Why me you may ask?
Because I have a portable (although heavy) device that does the job. I bought it ages ago to be able to start my cabs. It has to be plugged into the mains via an extension lead. The word has been spread that I have it. Much easier than jump leads.
