Nose still incredibly painful. It just throbs for no reason.
I never heard the wind last night yet I was awake for half of it. Damn insomnia.
My nephew might be visiting my sis this weekend, bringing with him little baby, and his GF’s young twins, who I have yet to meet. So I will be on standby to pop round for baby cuddles. Only saw him Christmas but hope he will be awake this time.
Want to get to Tesco’s. Need some of their cereal. But will I see the family today, or tomorrow? Don’t want to leave it till too late. Monday car is going in for service and mot. Tuesday morning is the cafe. I’m sure something is happening Wednesday. Oh yes, going to a coffee morning at a house, where I went before. Thursday is boiler service. Friday’s looking good… (but will be too late then)
Jazzi, none of my business but I think your nose may be broken, at the very least it should be x-rayed and strapped professionally.
Get yourself to A&E!! X
@ruthio, that’s okay. Yes, it may well be broken, but I read on medical sites that it needs to be dealt with within 14 days, otherwise surgery wouldn’t help. As I have explained elsewhere I would have been unable to get dog care for Holly, to allow me to spend half a day waiting at A&E, plus I have had too much going on, and will be busy all next week too! I have no free time till Friday. The man who usually has her has been fully booked all this month. The lady I sometimes uses has her part time job and is quite often unable to help out when I ask. I couldn’t just up and leave for the hospital. I bet if I went now I would be told off with a ‘why didn’t you come here sooner’.
I just have to remember not to touch my nose, . Often I rub my hands over my face and include the affected area…ouch!
Not sure what is happening vis a vis going to sister today. She was working till late yesterday so I don’t know if her son and family turned up. I can’t wait to cuddle the new baby again.
Good morning all.
Cold and frosty again here.
Done my first walk with Minnie.
Nothing else planed for today, but might get the vacuum cleaner out to do the stairs and landing.
Lunch ??
I did manage to see the baby yesterday and had cuddles. Had to dash off to Aldi nearby before they closed, for some milk, and was late home feeding Holly. She is getting really good at being left, so it is just me who worries.
Once I drop the car off it will be a quick walk into town, buy another pint, and get the bus home. No lingering in the shops, as a minor women’s complaint means I need to be near a loo! At 8am, when my surgery opens (tried just now) I will complete the online form, asking for their help. OTC stuff hasn’t given me relief.
Seems quite windy, so not looking forward to being out. Holly wanted the garden in the night and it was almost blowing the door wide open. Fortunately she was quick.
Good morning all.
Also a cold wind but blue sky and a warm sun in the windless spots.
Also nothing planed for today, apart from making a bread.
Jan. I can leave Minnie for ages on her own. She knows when I am going out and waits for a treat. You will find that they can get used to being left alone. Whether they do damage or not, depends on the dog.
That’s true Emjay we could leave ours all day without a problem, we don’t though for if we are going to be more that three or four hours our neighbour pops round to let them out into the garden… not that they need to go out but they do enjoy the run around with him and so does he!
Holly is very good and just stays on my bed. I check in on her via the camera, on my phone, to make sure she is still settled.
I was sitting upstairs typing this and my landline burst into life! Dashed downstairs thinking it was the doctor, but was my brother. I should have taken a handset up with me.
If it wasn’t so cold and windy I would nip out to one of the mini marts here, see if any of them have some cranberry juice, but doubt it. I realise now I should have detoured to Holland & Barrett before coming home, to get some cranberry capsules.
Good morning all.
Just back from Sainsbury’s with the weekly shop. Also topped up with petrol, 26.92 litres that should last another 3 months or more. Dodgy fuel gauge that came with this type of vehicle.
Snails for an aquarium or pond? From my experience with snails and aquariums, put in one, and a few weeks later you are picking some out and disposing of them.
Good morning all.
Bright and sunny here and not very cold.
Nothing planed except going to Morrison’s to pick up my meds. Decisions? Walk, bike, or car?
Guppies Susie? They will breed faster than the snails.
