Just pottering around and doing odd jobs today to take my mind off the fact that Alfie 
is at the vet’s having surgery, why is it I feel so bloody guilty?

Overcast and cold ish.
I was up a bit earlier this morning and all chores done.
Going to the ‘cake and company’ group later. 1130 - 1300. It’s good there for free grub, mostly home made, so I do watch what I eat. Also good for a natter.
Hope everything goes well with Alfie this morning Barry, which i’m sure everything will.

Good morning everyone, milder here and a nice sunny forecast for the day…
Just Mum coming over for lunch later and I may find some time for the garden if it stays fine, but no other plans.
Just to let you know that Alfie is fine after his operation yesterday, he is eating and drinking so all the signs are good.

Emjay, hope you enjoyed your cake and company group. I could, if I wanted to, attend the ladies lunch club again, but after last week I am not so sure. We are expected to pay £5 towards the food and cuppas. I was eating the food but not enjoying it. The host is very into nutrition and I think that was shown in her baking. A flan that had no cheese, but included yogurt. I don’t know how I managed to finish it. The cakes afterwards weren’t much better. Yeuk.
Anyway, sis might want to pop round and finalise her compensation acceptance. She just likes to have help answering all the emails, make sure all is done right.

Thanks for asking Barry. No, not at all! Still a faint bruise on the nose. Still very painful. Only able to touch my nose lightly and with caution. I bopped the bed room window with it yesterday, trying to look out. Ouch! Even when cuddling Holly, and attempting to kiss her, if my nose gets there first…. And I can only hold tissues at the very tip and dab gently.

Weather here is again overcast but not so cold. Feels like it could rain later.

Yes the meet-up yesterday was good. Lots of good grub and we were told to help ourselves and take what we wanted home with us. I am trying to get a photo of the spread on here but it’s on my wattsapp.
There was only 9 of us there and I was the only male.

Shortly I am going to make my chicken soup, with carrots, onion, 4 chicken thighs, stock. That will be for 2 meals.

Not sure about that Barry, as not been to A&E. I would need to get Holly in with a carer and do know one of them is booked up. Not fully checked with him yet, or the other lady, but I have had things going on each day.
Oh, photos always make the bruise look worse. People can only really tell when I point it out then they say ‘oh yes, right across there…’

That does look nasty Janet. Made me say ouch loudly when I saw that.
Right. Cold and frosty here, and got 2 chores for today. Got to take my prescription for repeat meds to the chemist, and then got an appointment at the hospital ( Roding private hospital) but I don’t pay as it is a referral from NHS. That is for my knee/s.
Later this evening, dinner at my daughters.

Out with hubby about 10am to the Aquatic Centre to buy some plants for the tank.

Yes quite warm here. But that is because my heating came on in the night. It’s the thermostat that is playing up. I just wish I could find a mechanically one to replace this electronic one.
At the moment also it is not to bad out.
I don’t know what I will be doing today, just have to wait until my daughter comes and I shall comply with her plans.
As usual laundry day.
Morning everyone, been for a walk for the first time since Alfie’s operation and he seems as good as new and full of the joys of spring, so that has cheered us up no end. 
Breezy here but very mild so I may try an hour in the garden later and I’ll be making omelettes for lunch.
